Chart

My Top 50 - 06/04/2017

Ed Sheeran earns another #1 with "Castle on the Hill", Miley cracks top 5 while chart expands to 50 spots.

Ed Sheeran earns a second consecutive #1 hit from his third studio album, ÷, as "Castle on the Hill" follows last week's Greatest Gainer move with another 7-spot jump to #1. The track, which was released alongside former three-week #1 "Shape of You" (down one to #31), had previously gone as high as #3. Current UK single, "Galway Girl" has reached #2, and drops down two rungs to #5 this week.

In consequence "Hard Times" and "Swish Swish" both drop down a single spot to make room for "Castle on the Hill". Paramore can still claim two entries this week, as After Laughter track "Fake Happy" debuts at #40.

Katy Perry on the other hand, sees "Chained to the Rhythm" drop seven spots to #24, while "Bon Appétit" featuring Migos recovers that exact amount of spots to #27. Last but not least, "Swish Swish" featured artist Nicki Minaj is also on #8 "Swalla", which drops from it's #7 high, and debuts with The Pinkprint single "Truffle Butter" featuring Drake and Lil Wayne at #28. Earlier this year, the same combination of artists took "No Frauds" to #12.

Miley Cyrus has the top debut of the week with "Malibu", which opens at #4. The track marks a massive departure from her Bangerz persona. Another former Disney star, Selena Gomez, earns Greatest Gainer honors with "Bad Liar" and it's 13-spot jump to #6.

Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson follow at #7 with "Symphony", down three. Imagine Dragons likewise drops three spots to #9, while The Chainsmokers close top 10 with "Bloodstream".

Just below top 10, Linkin Park and Kiiara move up another spot to #11 with "Heavy", barely holding Dua Lipa and Miguel's "Lost in Your Light", which debuts at #12. Should either of these tracks become top 10 hits, they would be: Linkin Park's first, Kiiara's second, Miguel's first and Dua Lipa's fourth.

The chart also expands to 50 spots starting this week. This allows Tove Lo's "True Disaster", Little Mix's "Touch" and Jax Jones' "You Don't Know Me" to survive another week, while Calvin Harris, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes and Bruno Mars re-enter.

Greatest Gainer:

Selena Gomez - "Bad Liar" (moves up 19-6 this week)

Dropping this week:

Katy Perry ft. Juicy J - "Dark Horse" (#17 peak, 5 weeks on the chart)
