These are basically my 40 favourite songs! Updated weekly. The rule is that each song has to have been in either the Official UK Top 40 or the Vodafone Big Top 40. Enjoy!
We have a new #1 this week, as Camila Cabello debuts straight in at #1 with Never Be The Same. Her fourth #1 of the year becomes the first song to debut at #1 on its first week released since Sigala back in March 2016.
Ariana Grande's Santa Tell Me climbs seven to #12, and Wham! climb ten with Last Christmas, matching their peak with the track in 2016. Mariah Carey also climbs ten to #16, and The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl climb 18 to #19, also matching their previous peak.
PRETTYMUCH and French Montana debut at #20 with No More, and the first Christmas re-entry of the week is at #22, Shakin' Stevens' Merry Christmas Everyone. He also matches last year's peak. Ramz debuts at #23 with Barking, and Chris Rea re-enters at #24 with Driving Home For Christmas. Wizzard also re-enters at #27 with I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, and Slade re-enter at #29 with Merry Xmas Everybody. The final Christmas entry of the week is Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney at #30, its first ever entry into my chart. And G-Eazy & Halsey also enter at #38 with Him & I.
That's about it for this week, next week is the Christmas Top 40 so expect lots more Christmas songs! :D

Hey Ines, yeah, Never Be The Same is the quickest song to become my favourite song in years. all three of my recent #1 debuts had pre-release radio airplay or time released before charting, so had time to grow on me. on the night it came out I knew NBTS would be my next #1! :D
yeah well expect lots more Christmas entries tomorrow as that is the Christmas top 40! and while many non-Christmas songs may fall out, they will re-enter after and quite possibly get new peaks in the new year! :)
This week it will lose a couple spots but will remain in my top 10. So should it still be your #1 next week? I don't understand but Christmas songs aren't causing much effect on me this year... Just right when Mariah's about to get a big peak on the Hot 100 lol. My new chart should be up later, hope you can check, friend.
Hey Calum! It's good that you were finally able to catch up on your charts after all. :)
Firstly, I love seeing 'Never Be The Same' debut at #1! It might not be Camila's best solo hit, but I still really like it & a lot more than when I chatted to you about it when it first came out. When was the last time a song debuted at #1 for you?
I'm also enjoying the festive takeover on your charts, especially the gains for 'Santa Tell Me' & especially 'Last Christmas'!
As for your new entries: 'Never Be The Same' (7/10), 'No More' (6/10), 'Merry Christmas Everyone' (8/10), 'Barking' (5/10), 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday' (7/10), 'Merry Xmas Everybody' (8/10), 'Wonderful Christmastime' (8/10) & 'Him & I' (6/10).
Awesome chart once again & I can't wait for the next one!
See you soon.
Hey Piran, thanks for the comment! yeah, I'm really happy I caught up on charts too! well, I think Bad Things was the last #1 debut, but it was released for a few months before charting so had time to grow on me. I'm pretty sure this was the first song to debut at #1 in its first week of me hearing it ever! :D I'm also glad its growing on you!
well, tomorrow is obviously the Christmas top 40, so expect many more festive debuts and re-entries! speak to you soon and hope you've had a good week so far! :)
Great to see 'Never Be The Same' debut straight in at #1 and for so many Christmas songs to enter the chart this week! It's also great to see you finally up-to-date with your charts, with just this week's chart left to go.
No Christmas songs were actually in my Christmas chart, as there were TONS of new entries that pushed 'Fairytale of New York' out and stopped any others from entering.
I love seeing 'Fairytale of New York' climb so much this week and 'Barking' making its debut very high, considering all of the Christmas songs!
I am a bit sad to see 'Decline' drop by so much though, and I hope that it can climb again when all of the Christmas songs drop out.
Great chart again this week, and I'll speak to you soon! :D
Hey GamesKiller01, thanks for the comment! yeah, Barking did very well as did No More and Him & I for non-Christmas debuts, and all three especially the former should climb in the new year! Decline should climb in the new year, but I think it's already hit its peak unfortunately.
well, ill check your chart out now or tomorrow, and will have my today's chart up asap, tonight if possible if not in the morning! :)
Hey Calum, I'm glad we share the same song in the top of our charts this week! .
I saw that a #1 debut doesn't happen often so that's awesome! I like seeing Santa Tell Me and All I Want For Christmas Is You rising one week before Christmas. I also like that Him & I managed to debut, G-Eazy is killing in this season! Great chart overall once again!
