Chart

27th July, 2018 - 2nd August, 2018

Top albums of the week:

1) Post Malone - 'beerbongs & bentleys' (=)
2) Ed Sheeran - '×' (Re)
3) Post Malone - 'Stoney' (Re)
4) Drake - 'Scorpion' (-2)
5) Anne-Marie - 'Speak Your Mind' (Re)

Ariana Grande grabs her 2nd #1 as 'God is a woman' climbs 2 places to take the top spot on its 3rd week on the chart after climbing a massive 31 places to #3 last week. Ariana has previously reached #1 as a featured artist on Cashmere Cat's 2-week #1 'Quit', but this is the first time that she's reached the top spot as a lead artist..'God is a woman' reaching #1 so quickly despite debuting so low down at #34 marks the fastest that a song has ever climbed to #1 after debuting outside of the Top 20. The previous record was held by Ramz with 'Barking', which also debuted at #34 and then reached #1 on its 4th week on the chart. Ariana also joins a fairly elite group of artists who have reached #1 at least 2 times on my chart, becoming the 11th artist to achieve this.

The rest of the Top 10 is relatively unchanged for the most part, with just small climbs and falls throughout. The only thing to note is the debut for David Guetta and Anne-Marie with 'Don't Leave Me Alone' at #10. This becomes Guetta's 1st Top 10, but Anne-Marie just adds onto her collection and brings her total up to 6 now. At #16 Drake's 'In My Feelings' climbs 7 to reach a new peak, while the highest climber of the week is Loud Luxury's 'Body', which takes a huge climb of 18 places to reach the Top 20 at #20. The only other debut of the week comes from The Chainsmokers with 'Side Effects' at #38.

Not too much to talk about in the "Post Malone Achievements Paragraph", other than the usuals. As always, 'beerbongs & bentleys' is at #1 on the albums chart, its 13th non-consecutive week, while Post Malone charts at least 10 songs simultaneously, with 13 this week, for the 14th consecutive week. He also still holds 4 out of the Top 6, which is an extremely impressive feat by itself, but he's now managed to have at least 4 songs in the Top 10 for 7 consecutive weeks, something that no other artist has even come close to achieving before.

Thanks for reading everyone! :D

Really good chart as usual! :)
I love 'God Is A Woman' reaching the top spot, as well as four Post Malone songs elsewhere in the Top 10 & 'Don't Leave Me Alone' also debuting in the region (surprised David Guetta hasn't had a Top 10 in your chart before)! I also like that 'Side Effects' made it a bit lower down too.
Next week looks like it might be even better with 'Beautiful' set to enter the chart straight in at #1 & 'Body' expected to have another huge climb!
Enjoy your week.

Hey Piran! It'll definitely be an extremely close race between 'Beautiful' and 'God is a woman' next week, as both are doing incredibly well for me so far this week. Unless something else comes out of the blue as a song I absolutely love (kind of like how 'Beautiful' did for me this week), I really can't see anything else making the Top 2 for at least the next month.
To be fair to Guetta, he's only really released 'Flames', 'Mad Love' and 'Like I Do' (and now 'Don't Leave Me Alone') since I've been doing charts, and all of them charted, just none of them managed to make Top 10.
Thanks for the comment! :D
