Chart

30th March, 2018 - 5th April, 2018

Top albums of the week:

1) The Weeknd - 'My Dear Melancholy,' (Debut)
2) Various Artists - 'Black Panther: The Album' (=)
3) Camila Cabello - 'Camila' (=)
4) Logic - 'Bobby Tarantino II' (-3)
5) Ed Sheeran - 'x' (-1)

After tying the record with 4 consecutive weeks spent at #1, Marshmello & Anne-Marie's 'FRIENDS' takes a tumble to #7 this week as The Weeknd completely dominates. All 6 tracks from his new not-quite-EP-not-quite-LP 'My Dear Melancholy,' debut in the 6 top spots, a feat never before achieved on my charts. He now stands behind only Camila Cabello as the person to have the most debuts in the Top 10 at once and most songs in the Top 10 at once, as she debuted 7 and held the entire Top 10 upon the release of her debut album. This brings The Weeknd's total up to 3 #1s, behind only Camila Cabello (8) and Ed Sheeran (5). He also has 8 Top 10 entries now, 6 of them from this week alone. With 3 #1s out of 9 total entries, a third of all of The Weeknd's entries on my chart have reached #1, and all but 1 have reached the Top 10!

Down near the bottom of the Top 10 'Done For Me', 'YES' and 'She Loves Control' just manage to stay in the region, while both of Shawn Mendes' big new entries from last week get pushed out of the region entirely. Another one of last week's new entries, 'Freaky Friday', is one of only 3 songs to climb at all this week, and despite only climbing 1 place it takes the place of this week's highest climber, alongside 'X' from 'Black Panther: The Album' and 'Psycho' by Post Malone. 'Psycho' is also in a very interesting position as it has alternated between the positions of #35 and #36 every single week it's been on my chart, but has never climbed any higher or fallen any lower, or ever stayed in the same place for 2 weeks in a row.

The only non-The Weeknd debut this week comes from Sam Smith & Logic with their new collaboration 'Pray'. While the last of Logic's songs from 'Bobby Tarantino II' fall out this week, he does manage to stay in the chart because of this debut. This is also Sam Smith's first debut on my chart as a lead artist, and only his second at all, following his feature on Naughty Boy's 'La La La'.

Thanks for reading everyone! :D

Hey Gameskiller!
Like all of the debuts!
I would say more to the new chart, but the Weeknd pretty much dominated your chart!
Great chart overall!
Also I recently updated my chart, check it out if you haven't!

Hey Sergej! Yeah, The Weeknd absolutely dominated this week, and he's looking set to continue his domination for the next few weeks as well! I'll go check out your chart now! :D

I just left a comment on your most recent chart! :D

For whatever reason my replies didn't show for a little bit, so now you've got 2 replies! Or 3, if you count this one.

Looks like I'm not the only big Weeknd fan here. ;-)

So besides that, I like "FRIENDS", "Done For Me", "Pray For Me", "In My Blood", "All the Stars", "Say Something", "Bloodstream", and "Havana".

I really like The Weeknd's music, and I absolutely love 'My Dear Melancholy,'. :D Good to see that you like a lot of the songs on my chart though. Thanks for the comment!

Hey Gameskiller! I really like your chart once again. :)
'My Dear Melancholy' was just decent at best overall if I'm being honest, but I'm still happy that 'Call Out My Name' managed to get a #1 debut!
It's good to see 'Friends' at the highest charting song that's not from The Weeknd, but it's disappointing that both of Shawn Mendes' new singles fell out of the Top 10 after just one week.
I'm not happy about 'Pray' debuting, but it's cool that 'Freaky Friday' & 'Psycho' managed to move up a tiny bit!
I posted a new chart yesterday, so I hope you can comment on that when you get the chance.
See you soon!

Hey Piran! I absolutely love 'My Dear Melancholy,', as is obvious from this chart. I'm usually a fan of The Weeknd's music (he already had 2 #1s before this week), and I think that 'My Dear Melancholy,' has some of the best music he's ever done! All songs are currently set to take the Top 6 again next week, but 'Hard 2 Face Reality' may just be able to push past them to debut at #6 or #5.
'Lost In Japan' may be able to reach the Top 10 again once The Weeknd's songs fall out, but I can't see 'In My Blood' ever returning. You probably won't be glad to hear that 'Pray' is very likely to climb next week, but you will like that 'Freaky Friday' is also very likely to climb more. If current trends are anything to go by, 'Psycho' will fall 1 place to #36 and continue the pattern. Every single week it's been on my chart it's either climbed 1 place to #35 or fallen 1 place to #36, and has never gone any higher or lower, or ever stayed in the same position for 2 weeks in a row!
Thanks for the comment, and I'll go check out your chart now! :D
