Chart

Billboard Hot 30

In Week Forty of the chart, "Happier" by Marshmello and Bastille hit the top spot of the chart after steadily gaining from the bottom of the chart. In its thirteenth week on the chart, "Happier" struts one spot from the number two spot to hit the pinnacle spot. After Marshmello earned his first top ten hit with "FRIENDS" with Anne-Marie, Marshmello outdoes himself with his first number one and Bastille likewise collects its first number one. "Happier" continues its all upward climb, as the song has never shown downward momentum. After debuting at twenty-six off of streaming numbers from subscription services such as Spotify and Youtube, "Happier" slowly gained in streams until its fifth week when it jumped five spots because of its music video. Following its radio push, "Happier" is able to take over from Ariana Grande's "thank u, next" after it debuted at the top spot two weeks ago. "thank u, next" nonetheless continues to gain heavily in radio airplay while still keeping a strong showing on the streaming. "Happier" just narrowly beats out "thank u, next" and it looks to be a strong battle in the coming weeks as "Happiers" streams decrese, but its radio increases and "thank u, next" radio airplay gains and music video looks to come out soon. "Sicko Mode" by Travis Scott keeps at number three after debuting at number one sixteen weeks ago and then returning following its music video. "Youngblood" by 5 Seconds of Summer keeps at its number four peak, "Drip Too Hard" by Lil Baby and Gunna stays at five, and in its second week XXXTentacion's "BAD!" stays at six. Another previous number one, "Zeze" by Kodak Black featuring Travis Scott and Offset moves up to number seven as its radio moves up. Halsey's "Without Me" leaps into the top ten for the first time as its radio airplay skyrockets while also leading in digital sales and having a strong showing from streaming. Although leapfrogged by Halsey, the debut single by benny blanco featuring Halsey and Khalid, "Eastside" moves into the top ten for the first time, ticking up one spot to number ten. Halsey thus ranks at number nine and number ten. Previous number one "Girls Like You" by Maroon 5 and Cardi B moves out of the top ten for the first time in twenty-five weeks as it drops nine to number eleven. On the all-time chart, "Girls Like You" moves into the number two spot as it spent most of its chart history near the top. "Natural" by Imagine Dragons falls out of the top ten after its lone week in the top tier as its radio and streaming falls due to their album release effects. Sheck Wes' "Mo Bamba" jumps two spots up to number thirteen as its racks up large streaming numbers. At number sixteen, "Taki Taki" by DJ Snake featuring Ozuna, Cardi B, and Selena Gomez hits a new peak as it moves up two spots to number sixteen, ahead of Panic! At the Disco's "High Hopes", which jumps three spots to number sixteen as it gains largely in radio airplay.
