Chart

Joseph's Hit 40

It was a total walkover in my chart this week as Louis Tomlinson breezes to a second chart topper. Back to You jumps 7 places to #1 after a huge one-day impact in last week's chart, and easily secures Louis his first #1 since Just Hold On at the end of last year. This makes Louis the first One Direction member to achieve two solo #1s, ahead of Harry who has one while Niall, Liam and Zayn have yet to top the chart. Back to You features Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals, both of whom score their very first chart hit, although Bebe came close very recently with The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody) featuring Lil Wayne, which narrowly missed #1 to Kristian Kostov's Beautiful Mess.

Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias claims this week's highest new entry, as SÚBEME LA RADIO becomes his highest charting song so far. Enrique's only previous hit was 2014's I'm a Freak, which made #10. SÚBEME LA RADIO features Sean Paul, who grabs his fifth top 10 - the first since his first #1 hit Rockabye - and 2016's X Factor winner Matt Terry, who achieves a second top 10 hit after the #4 peaking When Christmas Comes Around.

It's taken nine weeks, but Little Mix finally make the top 10 with current single Power. It's the fourth single from their fourth album Glory Days, and is the third of those singles to make my top 10, following #2 hit Shout Out to My Ex and #1 hit Touch, while single 3 No More Sad Songs only got to #12. It's also worth mentioning that album track Oops became a top 10 hit following its X Factor performance, getting to #7. Power is their twelfth top 10 hit overall, and the first for featured artist Stormzy, who has no other chart hits to date.

There are two highest climbers this week, both up 13 places. One of them is from electronic duo Charlotte and Fin, better known as RIVRS. They made their chart debut last week as Playing With Fire entered at #21, and this week, it jumps up to #8, giving the duo their very first top 10. Matching that climb, albeit lower down, is DJ Khaled, whose second hit Wild Thoughts jumps from #37 to #24, giving featured artist Bryson Tiller a new personal best.

Other new personal bests this week are secured by Helena Paparizou and ZOË, while PRETTYMUCH and Yungen make their chart debuts. The latter features on Hands, with KStewart as the lead artist. It's KStewart's third top 40 hit, outpeaking her solo song Keeping You Up (#14) but lagging behind Oliver Heldens collaboration Last All Night (Koala) which got to #7. Nevertheless, expect a big jump next week as it's a future hit in the waiting!

In the album chart, The Vamps reign supreme for a third week, blocking Declan McKenna from the top spot. Declan's yet to achieve a top 40 song, but it's only a matter of time as the album secures a very solid debut.
