RandomGuy Year-End Chart 2017!!

Hello guys and welcome to my 2017 Year-End Chart! As I've mentioned a few times already, I think that 2017 has been a great year for music. Without many further words, let's get to it!

"Closer" by The Chainsmokers & Halsey wins Song Of The Year title! That's amazing because "Closer" got released in summer 2016, but it's one of my all-time favorite songs, and it shouldn't surprise you if "Closer" gets a Top 10 spot on my 2018 Year-End Chart! That's how good it is.

1. The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey - Closer = 210k points

2. The Chainsmokers ft. Coldplay - Something Just Like This = 145k points

3. The Chainsmokers - Paris = 137k points

4. Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee - Despacito = 131k points

5. Jonas Blue ft. William Singe - Mama = 117k points

6. Bruno Mars - That's What I Like = 115k points

7. Kygo ft. Selena Gomez - It Ain't Me = 110k points

8. French Montana ft. Swae Lee - Unforgettable = 103k points

9. The Chainsmokers ft. Phoebe Ryan - All We Know = 93k points

10. Kristian Kostov - Beautiful Mess = 89k points

Some pretty cool statistics you might like:

Top 3 albums of the year:

1. Bruno Mars - 24k Magic

2. The Chainsmokers - Memories

3. Ed Sheeran - Divide

Top 5 artists of the year:

1. The Chainsmokers = 651,700 points

2. Bruno Mars = 238,300 points

3.  Jala Brat

4. The Weeknd

5. Jonas Blue

Okay, this was a just damn incredible year by The Chainsmokers!! Not only they had the top three spots on my Year-End charts, but "All We Know" also ended-up #9th and "Young" ended-up #11th. I think it will be a long, long time for someone to match this year by The Chainsmokers (on my chart). "Closer" is also the most successful song on my young chart - it has the most total weeks charting, weeks in Top 10, weeks in top 5 and weeks in top 3! Just another proof of their dominance is that they had 3 times more Crownnote points than my all-time favorite artist, Bruno Mars! Big congratulations to The Chainsmokers and I'm very excited about their future on my chart.

Some important runs on my 2017 chart - "Mama" by Jonas Blue & William Singe had the record-breaking nine weeks at the #1, the next song is "Beautiful Mess" by Kristian Kostov from the 2017 ESC, which had five weeks at the #1.

A huge international hit which broke almost all the records - "Despacito", had four weeks at the #1 position. "Closer" had just one. I've started doing my charts in 2017 and it's been an incredible year, and I look forward to making charts in 2018!! :D

I hope you all will enjoy my Year-End chart and well, let me know if I haven't checked Yours!

Last but not least, I wish you all a Happy New Year and incredible 2018 with great success!

Good Year-End chart RandomGuy! :)
It's absolutely no surprised that The Chainsmokers dominated your chart this year & I love that they hold every spot in your Top 3 favourite songs of the year! '24k Magic' was also an enjoyable Bruno Mars album too.
Given how big of a worldwide hit 'Despacito' was, I'm not surprised that it's so high in your chart of the year!
My favourite song of 2017 is 15th for you which is cool & it's nice that two decent Avicii hits ('Without You' & 'Lonely Together') are charting next to each other.
Regarding Ed Sheeran, all three singles of his that appear here are incredible!
I posted a new weekly chart yesterday, so check that out whenever you're able to.
Happy New Year & I'll see you soon!

Hey Piran :). Great to see you. I'm glad you like my Year-End chart! I'm glad you love my Top 3 (I'm curious what's your favorite out of the 3?), and 24k Magic (album) :). Yeah, I wasn't even 'too' crazy about Despacito. But, it was such a huge hit both international and in Croatia that it couldn't have been avoided! I also love "Shed A Light"! It got a good run on my chart but didn't have the longevity compared to the other hits to make it higher! I really love the Avicii hits, but they've only been charting for me last 2 months. I think that they might have higher positions on 2018 Year-End chart than they did here. I also really love Ed's singles here! If I had to rank them in order, it would be: 1.) Castle On The Hill, 2.) Perfect 3.) Shape Of You. But they all would receive 9 or better if I had to grade them 1-10! But I think there's a fourth song by Ed charting as well, I think that "Galway Girl" just made it! I'll check your new chart soon and let you know what I think about it! Have you made a Year-End Chart yourself? Happy New Year as well & looking forward to seeing you again! :)

Good to see you too after so long! :)
I'd actually agree with how you re-ordered each of The Chainsmokers' & Ed Sheeran's songs on your personal charts! For both artists, all of the singles they've released this year would get no lower than an 8/10 for me.
I agree with you that 2017 was a strong year in music in general! The quality of worldwide hits were better than previous years & at the worst, there were more mediocre songs than bad ones!
I look forward to seeing how those two Avicii hits perform for you in 2018.
See you soon!

Yeah mate, I've been missing in action for a while, but hopefully no more! :) Glad we share opinions about those songs & both of those artists did really amazing in 2017 so let's wish them success in 2018! 2017 was definitely some good music, I didn't enjoy 2016 much in general but 2017 definitely backed up for that! I look forward to that as well and I look forward to see you in 2018 then! :D. Take care mate and Happy New Year once again.

Hey RandomGuy, that's a great chart! I can see we share similar tastes in music since we share 16 songs in our top 50. It's awesome that The Chainsmokers lock your top 3 this year, Closer is one of my favorite songs all time! Despacito at #4 is cool too, but it was Bieber's version that called my attention. I love Mama (it really got 9 weeks at #1? Cool!) as well as of course your #6, #7 and #8. All We Know is awesome too, I don't know how it didn't become a hit. I don't know your #10 but other songs that I love on your chart and didn't show up on my top 50 are Starboy, More Than You Know, Shed A Light, Stay, Starving, Without You, Perfect Strangers, First Time, Bad Things, Tired, 24K Magic, Friends & There For You. I love your top 3 albums of the year too. So you're from Croatia, right? Awesome, so you're gonna go through 2018 before me as I'm from Brazil. Have a Happy New Year and I hope you keep posting your charts into 2018!

Hey Ines! Great to see you once again :). We definitely share taste in music and that's really cool :D. Wow, I didn't know that "Closer" is one of your all-time favorites as well & The Chainsmokers really had an amazing year on my chart. So you prefer the Bieber version then. It's cool, but I prefer the original version. It's more fun to me. But you might find kinda weird that I had both Despacito's charting hahah! The other one, however, didn't make here, as you can see :) Mama was definitely my Top 3 favorite 2017 songs, it just didn't have enough time to catch songs ahead! It did have 9 weeks at #1 and it might get more, as it will still chart high when I continue my charts :) My longest #1 ever! I'm very happy to see that you like so many songs on my chart & "Beautiful Mess" (ranked #10) is a song from 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. It's a pretty good song. You should check out some Eurovision songs too :) I indeed am from Croatia! I guess I will enter 2018 before you then! It's in less than four hours now! It's cool that you are from Brazil too, hasta la vista! (that's Spanish though xD). Happy New Year as well and I look forward to see you in 2018, then :)

Cool! My longest #1 was Sorry by JB with ten weeks. I gotta check Beautiful Mess, then. The only song from Eurovision Song Contest I remember listening to this year was "Amar Pelos Dois" by Salvador Sobral and that was only because it's in my mother language. Hasta la vista then lol.

Hey RandomGuy!
Great year end chart!
Not surprised that The Chainsmokers were at the Top!
And I actually like a lot of songs on your chart!
And I like that "24k Magic" is your Album of 2017!
Hope you had a great new year and see you when have your first chart of 2018!
