This Week's Movers & Shakers:

The Song with Most total weeks on the Chart

'The Door' - Teddy Swims (24 weeks)

Highest New Entry

'Ready For Your Love' – Felix Jaehn & Sophie Ellis-Bextor (#19)

Biggest Climber

'Paprika' – Ghali (▲21)

Biggest Faller

'Mountains' – Jonas Blue, Galantis & Zoe Wees (▼23)

Highest Dropout

'Kind Of Man' – London Grammar (#53)

This week's Song of the Week to check out is: Ray Dalton - "Tears To Stay"

American singer Ray Dalton's new single TEARS TO STAY is the next irresistible dance floor smash that, with its buttery beat, endorphin-soaked melody and usual masterful vocals, pulls off what others spend ages refining: a track that turns your head off and gets your heart and hips moving brings and simply makes you happy.

One rule for my "Song of the Week" choice, it has to be released on release date and it doesn't have to be the highest debut. The Track will not necessarily debut on Sergej's Personal Chart This Week.

First look chart on Sunday.

Hey Sergej! :)

Glad to see 'I Can Do It With A Broken Heart' in the Top 40 & 'Me Before You' making a return.

I also like the debuts for 'Joyride' & 'Anything'!

Good chart yet again.

Take care!

Hey Piran!

Glad that you like "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" in the top 40, as well as the return for "Me Before You" and the debuts for "Joyride" and "Anything".

Thank you for your comment and take care.

Hi Sergej!

Hope all is good! Just took a glimpse of your #1s from 1980! How have you retrieved all that data?? Must have taken you ages!

Like "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" by Shaboozey has maintained longevity on the chart as well as the rise for "Please Please Please" by Sabrina. Also great to see Taylor rise with "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart" and of course "I Had Some Help" from Posty rising! Hopefully will reach a new peak! Really nice to see Kesha debut! Was not expecting a high debut on your chart!

Great chart as usual! Will check out your album chart!

:-)

Hey there!

All's good, thanks! Glad you enjoyed checking out the #1s from 1980! Collecting and organizing all that data did take some time, but it's always worth it to see the excitement it brings to fellow music lovers like you. Still need to complete the retro charts from 1980-2015 for me, hopefully someday I'll get to it, when I have the time.

Yeah, "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" by Shaboozey has really shown some staying power on the chart. Sabrina's "Please Please Please" has been on a steady climb too, which is awesome to see. Taylor's "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart" is definitely making waves, and fingers crossed for Posty's "I Had Some Help" to hit a new peak soon! Kesha's high debut was a pleasant surprise for sure, and it's great to see her back in the mix.

Thanks for the kind words about the chart! Hope you enjoy the album chart too. Always love hearing your thoughts!<<

Take care.

Hi Sergej!

“Storie Brevi” secures its fourth week at #1, and I’m wondering if “Honey Boy” will manage to match this number of weeks atop. It looks like you’re already feeling the summer vibes with “Sesso e Samba” jumping to the coveted third spot. Will “Please Please Please” break into the Top 5? And can “feelslikeimfallinginlove” keep climbing after getting stuck at #10?

“Paprika” had a great jump (another song that will debut on Rockmaker soon). Also, “Like Ice In The Sunshine” and “Stargazing” leap into the Top 40, along with “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.” I love seeing “Tonight (D.I.Y.A)”, “I Had Some Help”, and “Strawberry Dream” continue to climb. I’m surprised “30ºC” isn’t in the Top 50 yet. Meanwhile, “Good Luck, Babe!” quietly returned to the chart at #95.

Teddy Swims' songs tend to stick around on the charts for a long time. For example, “Lose Control” is currently leading the Billboard Hot 100 year-to-date chart in 2024 due to its number of weeks on the chart. On Rockmaker, “Lose Control” just re-entered the Top Ten in its 39th week, and “The Door” is at #11 with 26 weeks. It’s been on SPC for 24 weeks and has climbed nine spots to #72, crowning it as “The Song with Most Total Weeks on the Chart.” I’m a fan.

I’m happy to see the debut of “Ready For Your Love” (maybe it will debut on Rockmaker next week), “Joyride”, “Pour Me A Drink”, “Wake Up”, and “Tonight”. Thanks to your chart, I’m hearing “2 The Moon”, “End Game”, “All the Time”, “Dancin’ Alone”, and the new Griff track for the first time, and I’m loving them.

Besides “Storie Brevi”, I’m really into the Italian tracks “Mezzo Rotto”, “Sexy Shop”, “Non ho bisogno di te”, “Fantastico”, “Come un Tuono”, “Festa Totale”, “Peyote”, “Black Nirvana”, “Melodrama”, and “Malavita” (so much great Italian music!). But my Italian song of the week is “Frutta Malinconia.”

Great chart/playlist as always. Have an awesome week! :D

Hey there!

Thanks for the awesome update and all the enthusiasm—love seeing such passion for the charts and new music!

“Storie Brevi” is definitely having a moment, and it’ll be interesting to see if “Honey Boy” can match its four-week reign. “Sesso e Samba” bringing those summer vibes to the third spot is perfect timing, and I’m rooting for “Please Please Please” to break into the Top 5. It’s got the potential! As for “feelslikeimfallinginlove", here’s hoping it gets that upward momentum again after being stuck at #10.

“Paprika” making a significant jump and debuting on Rockmaker soon is exciting news. “Like Ice In The Sunshine” and “Stargazing” entering the Top 40, along with “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart,” are great additions to the playlist. Loving the upward climbs for “Tonight (D.I.Y.A),” “I Had Some Help,” and “Strawberry Dream.” I’m sure “30ºC” will crack the Top 50 soon—sometimes it just takes a little more time.

Interesting to see “Good Luck, Babe!” re-entering at #95—sometimes songs just find their way back into the spotlight! Teddy Swims really does have staying power. “Lose Control” leading the Billboard Hot 100 year-to-date chart and re-entering the Top Ten on Rockmaker in its 39th week is testament to its appeal. “The Door” at #11 with 26 weeks on the chart and 24 weeks on SPC climbing to #72 is impressive too.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the debuts of “Ready For Your Love,” “Joyride,” “Pour Me A Drink,” “Wake Up,” and “Tonight.” I'll keep an eye on your next Rockmaker chart next week for some of those potentially making an appearance. And it’s awesome that you’re discovering new tracks like “2 The Moon,” “End Game,” “All the Time,” “Dancin’ Alone,” and Griff’s new one—there’s so much great music out there!

The Italian tracks you mentioned are fantastic! “Frutta Malinconia” being your Italian song of the week is a great choice—there’s something special about it.

Thanks for your kind words about the chart/playlist. Have an amazing week, and keep enjoying the music!

Take care.

Ahoy, Sergej!

Apologies for missing the comment you made at the bottom of your last comment on my latest chart. I am not a tenured Stats.FM user so still pottering around in there finding more and more little interesting data points I find fascinating about my listening habits. I cannot for the life of me find where you, or anyone else for that matter, may have 'friended' me. I will keep looking so please know I am not avoiding it. As for your question, it takes a couple of weeks to get your data transferred into Sts.FM from Spotify. You need to request a file from Spotify which they then email to you, then go to the website version of Stas.fm to upload it. I also got the lifetime subscription so I'm sure we will be comparing notes for a long time yet. Let me know if you need any help, you never know, I might be able to help.

Loving the chart this week. I like the longevity of many of the tracks at the top. I listened to 'Sesso E Samba' which fits right it with it's laid back smooth summer vibe even if I cannot understand any of the words. Creates a hit of the summer story for them. It will be so interesting, come the end of the year, if any of these tracks are also the biggest hits of the year.

It's also great to see my tips/features working well with your audience to increase your interaction.

Great stuff as always, Sergej!

Ahoy!

No worries at all! Stats.FM can be a bit of a maze at first, but it's definitely worth exploring all the interesting data points. The friend feature can be a bit tricky to find; it's tucked away under the social tab, but take your time, and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Thanks for the heads-up about the data transfer process from Spotify to Stats.FM—I'll be patient with that. It's great to hear you've got the lifetime subscription too (me too recently); looking forward to many more data comparisons with you.

I'm glad you enjoyed the chart this week! 'Sesso E Samba' really does have that perfect laid-back summer vibe, doesn't it? Even without understanding the lyrics (expect if you speak italian, I can a bit, but the vibe is summery) (also if you translate the title it means "Sex and Samba", it is south american vibes all around it lol), it manages to capture that relaxed, sunny feel. It will indeed be interesting to see if any of these tracks make it to the top of the year-end charts.

Your tips and features have been invaluable in increasing interaction with my audience. I appreciate all your support and suggestions.

Thanks again for the kind words and for sharing your insights. Keep enjoying the music and exploring the data!

Take care.
