Chartbreakers

So The Weeknd returns to the top of the chart with his new song 'After hours' after a close fought battle with Billie Eilish this week. His other song Blinding Lights and Dua Lipa are not far behind.

Will The Weeknd hold on to the top spot? Will Billie Eilish or Dua Lipa return to the top? But there are also big new entries for next week's chart.

Mabel returns with a new banger ‘Boyfriend’ which attempts to follow her big hits ‘Don’t call me up’ and ‘Mad Love’, both of which peaked at number 1 on my chart. Will she get her third number 1?

However Lady Gaga is back with ‘Stupid Love’ and apparently back to the sound of her initial pop songs. Her teaser video didn’t give much away. The last time she had a number 1 on my chart was in 2009 with her massive duet with Beyonce – ‘Telephone’, hence she is well overdue a chart topper.

Justin Timberlake releases another song for the Trolls sequel movie, this time teaming up with the brilliant SZA.

There could also be new entries from Jonas Blue and Paloma Faith, Jessie Ware, Disclosure & Christine & The Queens.

Also, the release of new videos from Taylor Swift – ‘The Man’ and Doja Cat –‘Say so’ could also see these songs enter the top 40 next week.

Hi Zack!
Nice to see "After Hours" at #1, the big gain for "Don't Call Me Up" and the debuts for "Falling" and "The Birthday Party"!
Great chart!

Hi Sergej, thanks for your comment. Yeah I don't think many people had 'after hours' as their number 1. sos for the delay in getting back. new chart out today or 2moro.

Hey Zack! :)
I'm impressed to see Dermot Kennedy take the #1 album of the week, as well as 'After Hours' debuting at the top of the singles chart.
I also love the debut for 'Falling' in the Top 20, along with 'All My Friends' re-entering lower down!
Good chart once again mate.

Hi Piran, thanks for your comment. Yes, I am really liking Dermot's album now, just like I was into Sam Fender's album at the start of the year. The two albums are likely to battle out for several weeks. At least until The Weeknd releases his new album!

Hey there, I did not think that Weeknd would go straight to No1 this week. I really love though the jump for "Don't Call Me Up" and I wait to see whether the new Mabel track will crack into your chart on Friday!

Hi Menelaus, thanks for the comment. Yep, I liked the track as soon as I heard 'After hours', not sure it will stay at the top though for the next chart. Looking forward to his new album. Mabel has been battling for the number 1 this week, should have the chart up soon...
