Waffle's Current Favourites - Week of September 2, 2023

After it completed its monumental journey to #1 last week, Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer" holds the top spot for the 2nd week in a row. However, it probably will not stay there, as Olivia Rodrigo's "bad idea right?" holds at #2, and will likely retake the #1, maybe unless she unleashes something even better within GUTS. Then we have "Psychedelic Switch" holding at #3, and finally, the last 2 songs rise up a spot from last week on the count of "Shy Boy" falling out of the Top 5: "Love Is A Highway" at #4, and "vampire" re-entering the Top 5 at #5, likely to rise back up a couple spots in the coming weeks.

We have 2 debuts this week, the first of which bypassed the Bubbling Under entirely to debut at #22, and it's her first song to chart: "Pretty Boy" by LÉON at #22. We also have "Barbie World" by Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, and Aqua debuting at the very bottom because it's just too damn catchy. And we say goodbye to a former #1 this week, as "Double Fantasy" by The Weeknd and Future exits the chart this week.
