After missing out on number 1 last week,  Dermot Kennedy climbs up 1 place to achieve his first number 1 single on my charts with “Giants”. His current album also climbs back up to number 2. “Husavik”, taken from the soundtrack to the new Eurovision song contest movie, climbs up to number 2 on the singles chart. It reminds me a little of “Never enough” from “The Greatest Showman” although I do not expect it to be as big as the latter (“Never Enough was my 4th biggest single of the year in 2018). Due to being on a soundtrack to a series I have been watching, Robyn and Freya Ridings have new entries for previous hit singles on my charts. Haim holds strong to remain at number 1 on the album chart and has 5 singles in this week’s top 40.

Bubbling under the chart:

Juice WRLD ft Halsey – Life’s a mess

Next week:

For next week’s chart; it is a very busy weeks for new singles. The big release for me is the new single from Zara Larsson, titled “Love me Land”. She last had a number 1 single on my chart with “Ruin my life” in 2018.

Raye has already had a top 5 hit single on my chart this year and returns with “Natalie Don’t”. After “Daisies” spent 3 surprise weeks at number 1 earlier this year, Katy Perry returns with her new song “Smile”. Although it is catchy, it has a different sound than her last release. James Bay also returns with a new single “Chew on my heart”.

A collaboration between Eminem & Kid Kudi may impact next week’s top 40.

Other potential new entries next week:

Alanis Morissette

ALOK & MARTIN JENSEN FT. JASON DERULO

Bon Jovi

H.E.R

Juice WRLD ft Marshmello

Meghan Trainor

Wrabel ft Kesha

Hie my mate always looking forward to seeing your charts
Well a lot to mention
First of all im happy that "Giants " is the biggest song of the week. it might grow on me .One thing I can say about "Dermot " very humble dude and his music writing skills just so dope. Outnumbered is a former number 1 on my chart! His voice is phenomenal and like the way he pulls the voice!
I m impressed that his album still going strong I have to relisten his album because of you haha
I m happy to see "Slow Grenade " in top 5 though I'm disappointed with Elllie Goulding not getting enough support this time around she's actually getting more support in US than UK! Do you see the song peaking up higher? ?I'm happy to see " Wes Ten " could debut in the top 20 UK Garage is dope! Savage love i don't like the song it just refusing to grow on me! it's going to be the worst hit of 2020 for me!Like the rebound of Be Kind, like the small gains for Physical & Blinding Lights. I'm very happy to see " Heaven on my mind " gaining for it in the future? As for next week I'm looking forward to "Kidi Cudi",,Raye, Katy Perry.
Impressive chart i always look forward to your charts! !!!

Thanks mate, glad to hear that you look out for my chart, just like I do for yours. Yeah, Dermot is brilliant, love his voice, his writing skills are insane, he doesnt have a bad song on his album. Oh if you do listen to his album, i have too many favourites; "An Evening I will Not forget" is brillaint, as were his single releases "Power over me", and "All my friends". Lately been listening to "Dancing under red skies", but I literally love all the tracks. Sam Fender's album is worth checking out too, watch his music video for "Hypersonic missiles". Artists now need to have really catchy songs to get into the top 40, unless your a big name like Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande etc, or need a big collaboration. Grime is doing really well in Uk. I kind of hate how streaming has taken over physical sales. Therefore Im not surprised Ellie is not doing well. Ive always been a big fan though. Loved her first few albums, shes gone for a change of sound, prefer her old stuff. I dont think the song will chart in the UK top 40. "Savage Love" is the thought of catchy annoying song. Its number 1 in UK for 2 weeks now, but I cant see it getting into my top 10. I agree, its overhyped, tik tok is to blame! Be Kind rebounded due to the music video. "Heaven on my mind" is a slow grower. I have to say, Becky Hill has had multiple hits but still feels like she is not well known, i.e when it comes to award shows, perhaps its due to always being on collaborations mainly? Katy Perry's new song is poor in comparison to "Daisies", Raye shoudl do well. yet to hear Kid Cudi and Eminem

I wonder that too On Becky Hill I think she hasn't released a proper album. She's been on singles & a lot features I'm sure that might be reason but she mentioned to be releasing a proper album let's how it goes. .Thanks for recommending Sam Fender I will listen to him !Definitely tik tok is too blame for "Savage Love" I'm sure it's going to be a worldwide hit but I can't stand the instrument haha .I think that "Smile" I feel it's better for me than Daisies though the latter has good message but the former is sounding about being free .I actually heard there's a version of it (Smile)with Diddy I'm sure it would be dope to hear it !

Hi Zack!
Nice to see that "Giants" at #1, the big gain for "Husavik" and the debuts for "Slow Grenade" and "Lost Without You"
I also like the big gain for "Be Kind", the debuts for "Missing U", "Savage Love", "West Ten", "Chi Mai", "Eyes Of A Child" and "Dancing In The Moonlight" and the return for "Don't Wanna"!
Great chart!
