The Biggest Songs Of The Week!

TOP 10 ALBUMS of the week

1. Taylor Swift – Folklore (non mover) (8 non consecutive weeks at number 1)

2. The Greatest Showman (Original Soundtrack) (re-entry)

3. The Killers – Imploding the mirage (non mover)

4. Alicia Keys – Alicia (down 2)

5. Fleetwood Mac – Rumours (up 1)

6. Lana Del Rey – Norman Fucking Rockwell (re-entry)

7. BLACKPINK – The Album (down 3)

8. Ariana Grande – Thank u, next (re-entry)

9. Dermot Kennedy - Without fear (down 4)

10. Lana Del Rey – Born to Die (re-entry)

Lana Del Rey enters straight at number 1 with her new single “Let me love you like a woman” which reminds me a little of the single that made her popular... “video games”. London Grammar slip to number 2 with “Californian Soil”. Demi Lovato has had a busy 2020, with her 8th single released this year alone (including features and still no album!). She has her 7th top 5 hit (including 2 number 1’s) this year with “Commander In Chief” entering at no.3. Meanwhile, if you’re wondering why some songs from “The Greatest Showman” have entered the chart, well it’s only due to the movie being showed on UK TV premier.

On the album chart, Taylor Swift remains at number 1 spending her 8th non consecutive week at number 1 with “folklore”. With the return of Lana Del Rey, two of her previous albums re-entered into the top 10. The excitement of a new album from Ariana Grande, resulted in “thank u, next” climbing into the top 10. Meanwhile, the UK premier of The Greatest Showman resulted in the album re-entering at number 2!

Bubbling under the chart:

Dua Lipa ft DaBaby – Levitating (remix)

Laurel – Best I ever had

Astrid D – It’s ok if you forget me

Potential new entries next week:

Ariana Grande – Positions (obviously a huge contender for number 1 next week!)

Kylie Minogue – I Love it (her 3rd release from her new album)

Paloma Faith – Last night on earth (her 2nd release from her new album)

Marshmello & Imanbek ft Usher – Too Much

Zedd ft Griff – Inside out

Little Mix – Sweet Melody (their 3rd release in the past 3 weeks!)

H.E.R – Damage

Passenger – A song for the drunk and broken hearted

Hi Zack!
Nice to see "You Broke Me First" in the top 10 and "Wild Life" gain huge!
As for your debuts, I like "Let Me Love You Like A Woman", "Lonely", "Fake" and "Happiness"!
For your next week's debuts, I like "Positions", "Too Much", "Inside" and "Sweet Melody", will wonder where they will end up next week!
Great chart!

Hey Sergej, yeah "You broke me first" has been a very slow climber up the chart. "Wild Life" entered at no.6 originally then had a big fall but now back up after the release of the video. Did not realise it was in the soundtrack to a new Disney movie! As for next week, Positions will be defo somewhere in the top 5, "Sweet Melody" is growing on me. The other 2 dance tracks may struggle to get into the top 40.

hie Zack I am glad to see those debuts especially #1 &#14
Intersting to see Taylor Swift atop 8 Weeks that's your longest running album @1.
what about any other longest running in history?
Lonely is better than Holy I like the chorus very impressed can't wait for his album.
Rewrite stars why now ?
I prefer James arthur version.
Thank u next reentry I guess it's because of anticipation of new album i can't wait too she's one of my favourite artists from debut The Way I knew she was goingto have hits she remind me of Rihannas era when she dropped albums like crazy was so obesseed that time!
That new song from H.e.r oooh it's a banger .looking forward to next week almost the whole new song are going to be impact good releases! !

Hey mate. I think you are right, Taylor has had the longest reign at number 1 on my album chart this year, but I havnt kept track. Dermot Kennedy may be close too as he was doing well at the start of the year. I'll have do double check it all at the end of the year which will be interesting when I formulate my top 10 albums of 2020. In terms of albums that have spent a long time at number 1, I cannot give you numbers, but I can tell you that the following albums spent a long time at no. 1: Aaliyah (2001) album (first one i bought), C.Aguilera - Stripped (2002), Lana Del Rey - Born to Die (2012), Gabrielle Aplin - English Rain (2013), London Grammar - If you wait (2013) and Adele (21 & 25) & Taylor Swift - 1989 to name a few that must have spent over 10 weeks at number 1 on my chart.

It seems realy quick for Justin to release another album. He needs catchy tracks similar to his album "Purpose". The commentary at the end explains why "The Greatest Showman" songs entered, the movie was shown on uk tv premier. H.E.R has 2 new songs out this week and recently performed one of them on SNL. She gives me Aaliyah vibes, so talented. Her biggest song on my chart so far has been "Hard place".

ok will find out which were the biggest albums of the year I see the best albums Iguess they are all favorite of all time
Aaliyah I admire her too unfortunately death took over she had good things to come especially her time with Brandy, R Kelly interesting rnb that time
