The Biggest Songs Of The Week!

TOP 10 ALBUMS of the week

1. Taylor Swift – Folklore (non mover) (9 non consecutive weeks at number 1)

2. Dermot Kennedy - Without fear (up 7)

3. H.E.R – I used to know her (re-entry)

4. Sam Fender - Hypersonic Missiles (re-entry)

5. Alicia Keys – Alicia (down 1)

6. The Killers – Imploding the mirage (down 3)

7. The Greatest Showman (Original Soundtrack) (down 5)

8. Ariana Grande – Thank u, next (non mover)

9. BLACKPINK – The Album (down 2)

10. Dua Lipa – Future Nostalgia (re-entry)

Ariana Grande enters straight at number 1 with “positions”, her first cut off her new album which is also out tomorrow. Lana Del Rey slips to number 3 with “Let me love you like a woman”. Former number 1; London Grammar hold on to the number 2 spot with “Californian Soil”. Little Mix last had a top 10 hit on my chart back in 2016. After a slow start this week, their single eventually entered the top 10 at no.8 (the video is great and it’s their best single released for a while!). Meanwhile H.E.R has no less than 3 songs entering into the top 20, two of which are her current singles; meanwhile “Fate” enters the chart due to the song being discovered on the finale of Netflix’s “On the block”.

With their current success on the official UK charts, Internet Money impacts the chart with “Lemonade” at number 23, while Dua Lipa finally enters the chart at number 34 with her remix of “Levitating” ft DaBaby. It was bubbling under the chart for the past 3 weeks.

On the album chart, Taylor Swift remains at number 1 yet again spending her 9th non consecutive week at number 1 with “folklore”. Dermot Kennedy continues to do well with “Giants”. The former number 1 now in its 18th week inside the top 20 singles chart. With the re-release of his new album out in early November, his album has also climbed back up to number 2.

Bubbling under the chart:

Paloma Faith – Last night on earth

Marshmello & Imanbek ft Usher – Too Much

Zedd ft Griff – Inside out

Astrid D – It’s ok if you forget me

Laurel – Best I ever had

Potential new entries next week:

Dua Lipa ft Angele – Fever (Yet another new single, surely she won’t re-release another version of future nostalgia? Perhaps this single won’t be on any album. I can’t see her releasing a new album yet)

Meduza & Dermot Kennedy – Paradise (you know I like everything with D. Kennedy)

Paloma Faith – Gold

Steps – Something In Your Eyes

Liam Payne – Naughty List

New albums:

Ariana Grande – Positions (expect a takeover from A.Grande on next week’s single chart, could she do a chart double?)

Sam Smith – Love Goes

Amy MacDonald – The Human Demands (fantastic voice for an underrated artist)

Buddy hands up!!!!!
I am glad we have same number 1.Ariana Grande sounds r&b /pop this time she sounds like Maria carey back in the days not exactly.
I like Seeing other debuts including Dua Lipa which had no reviews in the beginning I'm glad it's growing on you happy to see "Sweet Melody " & of course H.E.R she's undeniably sexy voice especially that Damage it's a killer! !!Fate I used to listen to it last year and that EP I used to know her I m glad to see some r&b ignition lol. we have good releases past week and this week too. good music for us. ..I see some good rentries album! !!!!!
Meduza track mmm can't wait for it !! !
Great chart buddy

Hey, I have not had a chance to listen to Ariana's album yet, but will do tonight. I've read that many critics are saying her album is nothing special and no standout tracks. So i now have low expectations! I would be dissapointed if "Positions", her lead track is the best off her album, although intrigued to hear The Weeknd collab. The last time they collaborated, it was a corker! Her vocal range is incredible but im assuming she doesnt use all of it on her album. I'm not sure yet if "Levitating" will continue to climb. I'm also not feeling her new song with Angele but need to listen to it again. H.E.R is brilliant, underrated in the UK. For some reason, I overlooked "fate" and concentrated on "hard place." "Fate" reminds me of "Erath Song" by MJ! I'm not really a fan of Meduza but I love Dermot's voice so it could do decent on next weeks chart

Ariana grande so dope there's no track I would rate below 6/10 with time I will definitely love it .Imagine if other artist sang the songs other than Ariana it wouldn't be recognised she co wrote the album with Victoria monet are you familiar with her ?since Ariana's debut album she been co writing especially Thank u next almost every track .Victoria monet recently released her Album "JAGUAR " in August if you listen to it you can tell the that SHE'S been working with Ariana the fact that Ariana Grande is huge artist, the fact that Victoria is unpopular. take a listen to Jaguar album

My first impression of her album was completely different to yours but may be the album will grow on me. I feel like most of the tracks are Ariana Grande singing her usual tunes but with less "umph", almost like this would be the music if pop/rnb was around in the 40s/50's decades. I know thats weird to suggest but Im just not feeling most of the tracks. I can't see Ariana Grande having any other number 1 single from this album apart from "Positions". Yeah I know about Victoria Monet but dont know any of her personal songs. I know she is more of a writer. Meanwhile I have also been listening to Sam Smith which is more of a heartbreak album with some decent "slow" songs.

Yeah maybe with time I don't think having a number 1 well so far off the table, 34+35,pov,the one ft Tydolla might debut on my chart it's not a massive album but it's worth listening like previous albums

Hi Zack!
Nice to see "Positions" at the top, "Sweet Melody" debuting in the top 10 and the debut for "Levitating"!
From your debuts, I look forward where "Fever" and "Paradise" will land and I'm excited for all 3 new albums!
Great chart!

Thanks Sergej. I plan to listen to all 3 new albums by Ariana, Sam Smith & Amy MacDonald. Too early to say if there will be loads of new entries from these artists on next weeks chart though....
