Chart

My Top 40 - 03/19/2017

"Shape of You" leads for a third week, Lorde claims two spots in the top 5, Clean Bandit make key movements.

Ed Sheeran rules the chart for a third non-consecutive week with "Shape of You". "Castle on the Hill", which has so far reached #3, drops one spot to #6, but recently announced third single "Galway Girl" moves up seven spots to #26 on it's second week. A fourth ÷ track, "New Man" is also up three spots to #35.

As impressive as that sounds, another artist actually holds two spots in the top five this week. Lorde's "Green Light" moves up to #2, it's highest rank to date, while her Disclosure collaboration, "Magnets", earns Greatest Gainer honors for a second week with a nine-spots jump to #5.

The rest of the top five is made up from former #1 hits. Dua Lipa returns to the top three with "Be The One", while "Chained to The Rhythm", Katy Perry's three-week #1 is stable at #4.

Speaking of former #1's, three more are on this week's top ten: "I Feel It Coming" returns to the region following it's music video's debut, ranking at #7. "Rockabye" extends it's now-18-week run in the top ten by moving up to #8, while Rihanna's "Love on the Brain" drops to #10 on it's 40th week.

The Chainsmokers still claim two songs in the top 20 with "Something Just Like This", their collaboration with Coldplay down to #9, while former #1 "Paris" is actually up two spots to #18.

Two songs drops from the top ten this week but look likely to return later: "It Ain't Me" by Kygo and Selena Gomez is down to #11 after reaching a high-point of #2 to date, while "That's What I Like" by Bruno Mars drops to #13 from it's peak of #10.

The week's highest debut, at #15, is Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson's "Symphony", which serves as the followup to "Rockabye". Larsson hit #1 last year with "Lush Life" and adds another chart entry with "Sundown" at #38 this week.

Future, in addition to features on #17 (Ariana Grande's "Everyday") and #22 (Maroon 5's "Cold"), claims his first entry as a lead artist with "Selfish", featuring Rihanna, which ranks at #20.
