Camila Cabello earns second #1 hit, Drake, Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey join top 10.
"Never be the Same" moves up two spots to #1, becoming Camila Cabello's second #1 as a lead artist, following smash hit "Havana" which spent eleven weeks at the summit. It equals the amount of #1 hits she had with Fifth Harmony (tracks "Worth It" and "Work from Home"). Fifth Harmony announced this week that they're taking a long hiatus to explore solo careers after the relatively disappointing Fifth Harmony era, their first one without Cabello. Normani Kordei moves up to #24 this week with her first single, the Khalid collaboration "Love Lies". Another Camila Cabello track, "She Loves Control" returns to the top 10 and reaches a new high of #8, so not a bad week for the 5H girls.
Last week's #1, "Delicate" and the SZA/Kendrick Lamar "All the Stars" both drop one spot to #2 and #3. Taylor Swift's "Getaway Car" inches closer to the top 20 this week, at #22.
Marshmello and Anne-Marie remain stuck at #4 for another week with "FRIENDS". Dua Lipa also stays stable at #5 with former #1 hit "IDGAF". They're closely followed by "Pray for Me", the Kendrick Lamar/The Weeknd collaboration that serves as the second single from the Black Panther soundtrack, and has gone as high as #5.
Zedd earns another top 10 hit with "The Middle", which also marks Grey's first trip to the region following appearances on top 20 hits with Hailee Steinfeld and Camila Cabello. Maren Morris celebrates a top 10 hit with her first entry on the chart.
Closing the top 10, Drake's "God's Plan" moves up to #9, earning yet another top 10 hit for the Canadian rapper, while Disciples' "On My Mind" moves down to #10 after reaching a #5 high.
Below top 10, Niall Horan's "On The Loose" continues a increasing and jumps to #11, easily his highest rank to date. Bebe Rexha earns Greatest Gainer honors again for her collaboration with Florida Georgia Line, "Meant to Be" which jumps to #13, eleven spots higher than last week. Meghan Trainor's "No Excuses" also joins top 20 for the first time.
Two new Shawn Mendes tracks join the chart for the first time. "Lost in Japan" starts at #33, while "In My Blood" begins it's run at #45. Mendes' has a few prior hits: "Mercy" reached #6 but had a relatively short life (8 weeks), while "Stitches" reached just as high but spent 12 weeks on the chart. That said, his biggest hit to date is "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back", which was a bit of a sleeper hit, reaching only #16 but spending 29 weeks on the chart.
