My Top 50 - 06/24/2018

"One Kiss" surprises with eleventh week at #1, Cardi B moves up to #2.

In a surprising twist, what was expected to be a close race between Cardi B and Clean Bandit turned into a record-matching eleventh week at #1 for Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa's "One Kiss". The track matches the eleven weeks spent at #1 by Camila Cabello and Young Thug's "Havana", the longest run at the top spot on the chart.

"Kiss" reaches that mark with all of it's #1 week being consecutive, while "Havana" had three separate runs: It first ruled the chart from October into December 2017, totaling eight consecutive weeks, before giving the top spot to Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" for two weeks. It reclaimed it's crown for two more weeks after that, before Bruno Mars' "Finesse" remix with Cardi B dethroned it for a week in January. It returned a week after, thanks to Cabello's album release before Dua Lipa's "IDGAF" dethroned it for good.

Cardi still celebrates her highest peak as a lead artist, with "I Like It" moving up to #2, also a new high for J Balvin and Bad Bunny. Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato remain very close behind, at #3 with "Solo".

Selena Gomez is steady at #4 with her 13 Reasons Why track "Back to You". It managed to hold off Maroon 5's "Girls Like You", which features Cardi B. "Girls" manages to match "What Lovers Do" as the second Red Pill Blues single to reach top five.

British singer Anne-Marie slips one spot to #6 with "2002". Taylor Swift similarly drops one to #7 with "Delicate". Ariana Grande's first single from Sweetener, "No Tears Left to Cry" moves up one to #8. Peaks for these three tracks are, respectively, #2, #1 and #2.

David Guetta and Sia returns to the top 10 with "Flames", which jumps four spots to #9. Both acts have had many hits together over the years, with their most recent being "Bang My Head", which also featured Fetty Wap.

Shawn Mendes closes the top 10 with "Lost in Japan", down three. Lead single from his self-titled third studio album, "In My Blood", also drops two to #13.

Alessia Cara is looking to score her third top 10 hit with "Growing Pains" next week. The track earns Greatest Gainer honors with a jump from #50 to #14 this week.

Drake earns a new peak with "Nice for What" finally cracking top 15 this week. Previous single "God's Plan" reached #5.

Imagine Dragons and Kygo also jump to #19 from #49 with their collaboration "Born to Be Yours". Both acts had #1 hits last year, with "Believer" and "It Ain't Me".
