Bulgaria's Hottest 10 Singles (W/E 09/01/2020)

This is an unofficial chart, compiled by me, highlighting the 10 biggest tracks in Bulgaria right now. Due to the lack of an official Bulgarian singles chart, apart from an airplay only one, this is the closest thing we can get to a true representation of the musical landscape in the country. The data is based on Spotify/Apple Music streams, YouTube views, and airplay data, all coming from official sources.

(Also, not to throw shade, but this one does not employ any silly rules, pushing certain songs downwards and skewing data to prevent others from becoming chart-toppers - this is a linear chart, if one song's above another, that means it's more popular, and not that it's not affected by a toxic ruleset.)

Highlights of the week:

Tones and I remains at the top for an 8th non-consecutive week, claiming the 1st Bulgarian #1 of the new decade; though she does so with a 3.3% decrease in performance, compared to last week.
With none of the 10 festive hits which ruled last week's top 40 in sight, (the only remaining Christmas song in the top 100 is Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas is You', dropping 2-81) the rest of the top 10 feels brand new - Travis Scott's 'HIGHEST IN THE ROOM' boosts 31-2 this week, following the release of a remix, included on his label's debut mixtape 'JACKBOYS' - the week's biggest album.
Other entries from the album are 'Out West' with Young Thug at #4; 'Gang Gang' with Sheck Wes one spot lower at #5; and 'What to Do?' featuring Don Toliver, at #7.
Unbothered by the massive Jackboys takeover, SAINt JHN leaps 8-3 with the Imanbek remix of his song 'Roses' - his first top 3 hit, which is also his chart debut.
The Weeknd's 'Heartless' falls 3-6, and Tyga's viral hit 'Ayy Macarena', which entered the top 10 last week, tumbles from its peak, dropping 7-8.
Rounding off the top 10, Trevor Daniel's debut hit 'Falling' coincidentally falls 6-9, and Dua Lipa returns to the top 10, ascending 11-10 with 'Don't Start Now'.
