These are basically my 40 favourite songs! Updated weekly. The rule is that each song has to have been in either the Official UK Top 40 or the Vodafone Big Top 40. Enjoy!
This week, Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato make it 6 weeks at #1 with No Promises. I’ve only had three #1s this year so far, and two of them have taken up every week except the very first of the year! I do tend to have long #1s, given I had two for 9 weeks and two for 8 weeks in 2016, but 2017 has been a whole another level!
At #2 we have Mama, which climbs two to equal Jonas’ peak with Perfect Strangers last summer. But will he get his first #1? Not much change in the top 10 this week, except Maggie Lindemann climbing one with Pretty Girl to #8 and Little Mix getting their second top 10 with Power at #10. Their highest charting hit to date remains Move which charted at #8 in 2013.
There are climbs for Strip That Down, Swish Swish and Unforgettable in the top 20, and Rita Ora enters at #23 with Your Song. The only other notable action in the top 40 is Little Mix re-entering with No More Sad Songs at #39.
These are some breakers that will enter high if they reach the chart:
Alone- Alan Walker, Are You Sure?- Kris Kross Amstrdam & Conor Maynard ft. Ty Dolla $ign, Some Kind Of Drug- G-Eazy ft. Marc E. Bassy, Crying In The Club- Camila Cabello, Call Me- NEIKED ft. Mimi, I Have Questions- Camila Cabello, Love Incredible- Cashmere Cat ft. Camila Cabello and Hey Ma- Pitbull & J Balvin ft. Camila Cabello (Spanish version).

Hey Piran, I'm glad you like my chart! yeah, about the breakers, I don't really update it enough. I deleted a few off it recently like I Lied (bcos 5H released new music) and Digital Love, but I wont be able to properly update it until theres enough new songs to put on it. ive just realised ive missed Know No Better off the list, but meh ill put it on the next one then its eligible the week after.
Yeah, I loved your Top 40 this week! :)
Another observations I noticed this week on the UK charts (which isn't included in my review), is that 'Crying In The Club' climbs 16-14 & therefore passes 'Bad Things' as Camila's highest charting solo hit on the Official Charts so far.
Hey Calum! Great chart. It's been a while since I've seen your chart! I've been gone, you've been gone. Glad we made it haha! Cool to see 'No Promises' at #1 for 6 weeks? How many weeks 'Bad Things' has had at #1? I think I've heard 'Mama', but I forgot what does it sound like xD I like Jonas Blue though, so I'm sure it's good! #4 and #5 are awesome! 'Shed A Light' got blocked by 'Bad Things? xD I suppose that ' Bad Things' is also going to be Song of the Year? For me, it should be around 20-30 on the year-end chart, what's not that bad at all. I really like 'It Ain't Me'! I also like to see 'Despacito' (even though I prefer original much more), 'There's Nothing Holding Me Back', 'First Time', 'Starving' and more! Great chart overall, I'm very excited for next one! My own chart will be up tomorrow around the same time as now. Hopefully you'll check it out. I wish you good night! :)
Hey RandomGuy, thanks for the comment! yeah, Bad Things looks pretty nailed on to be my #1 song of the year, given it spent 15 weeks in a row at #1! and it also entered in the second week of January so should spend the entire of 2017 in my top 40! its one of my favourite songs of all time! As for Shed A Light, it got #2 in February when Bad Things was #1, so yeah MGK and Camila did block it! XD I'm glad you like lots of my songs, and ill go and check your chart now! imma put up another tonight if i have time too!
Hey Calum, great chart once again! Woah long-time no see on your chart! Great to see 'No Promises' on #1 once again! Six weeks is incredible but how much did 'Bad Things' spend? Did it beat the record of 'Now Or Never' from my charts? It spent 10 weeks at #1 there! Anyways, great to see rises from 'Mama', 'Pretty Girl' and 'Swish Swish'! All songs should go up in my next chart! Now rating your new entries : 1.) Power (Amazing), 2.) Your Song (Amazing). Well an amazing chart Calum! I'm off to your next one, but hope you check mine before I post a new one today! See ya bud!
Hey Calum! Good chart from you once again. :)
Yeah, your #1s are way longer than mine would be! My longest #1 ever was 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift, which spent 12 weeks at #1 when I started making personal charts!
Since then, the longest #1 of this decade is a three-way tie between: 'Uptown Funk', 'Can't Stop The Feeling' & 'Closer', all spending seven weeks atop my chart.
I like seeing 'No Promises' remain at the top, as well as 'Mama' continue to climb to a new peak of #2!
Here's my rating of your debuts this week: 'Power' (9/10) & 'Your Song' (8/10)! I also like the re-entry for 'No More Sad Songs' too; it seems like Little Mix had a good week then.
As for your breakers, apart for 'Crying In The Club' (which we already know is eligible for your chart), I don't see any of those other songs making the Official Charts Top 40 or The Vodafone Big Top 40 at all, except maybe 'Call Me'!
Once again, I definitely liked this chart! I posted my usual weekly review of the UK charts over on Disqus, so please check that out whenever you have time! Have a nice weekend mate.
