Chart 31.12.21

In the final chart of 2021, Avril Lavigne finally claims the #1 with Bite Me. After being stuck at #2, behind Taylor Swift's All Too Well for the last 4 weeks, Avril jumps to #2, pushing All Too Well down to #3. Red (Taylor's Version) rebounds to it's previous peak of #2, GAYLE jumps to #4 and Taylor finishes the top 5 with Message In A Bottle. There are a huge amount of re-entries as all the Christmas songs drop out, many songs reaching new peaks! There are only a handful of new entries; right where you left me by Taylor Swift joins champagne problems, willow and tis the damn season from evermore in the chart, and there are other new entries from Dylan, ACRAZE ft. Cherish and Imagine Dragons!

Midweek chart update:

1. Red (Taylor's Version) - Taylor Swift [+1] (New #1 and longest climb to #1!)

2. All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) - Taylor Swift [+1]

3. Bite Me - Avril Lavigne [-2]

4. Seventeen Going Under - Sam Fender [+7]

5. abcdefu - GAYLE [-1]

6. Message In A Bottle (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault) - Taylor Swift [-1]

7. Coconuts - Kim Petras [+1]

8. You're Not Harry Styles - Dylan [+23]

9. Shivers - Ed Sheeran [+5]

10. 22 (Taylor's Version) - Taylor Swift [-1]

Some great re-entries from some of the best songs of the year! Glad I found another Swiftie on here. Taylor continues to deliver nearly two decades on. Glad Avril reaches #1, although not the best lead single, it certainly brings her back to her roots. Who’s gonna be your first #1 of 2022!! Haha

I'm glad there are Swifties on here too, shes incredible! Such a good point, she's going from strength to strength! I agree, Bite Me is not the best lead but still a great track! I Reckon it'll be Red (Taylor's Version) as my first #1 of the new year!

Hey Conor! :)
I absolutely love seeing 'Bite Me' reach #1 in the final chart of the year, but I'm obviously hoping that 'Red [Taylor's Version]' can get there at some point in the New Year, haha.
It's also awesome seeing both 'I Wish' & 'Loneliest Time Of The Year' both entering the Top 10 here! Mabel had an incredible week, didn't she?
Finally, I love that 'Sweet Dreams & Dynamite', 'Happier Than Ever', 'It Ain't Right', 'Good 4 U', 'My Heart Goes [La Di Da]', 'Heat Waves', 'Psycho', '24/5' & 'Overpass Graffiti' are all back in the chart!
What an impressive way to end this year & I can't wait to see what next year will bring for your music taste, even though I already know that it'll be fantastic, haha.
See you next year!

Hey Piran! This is definitely Bite Me's 1st and only week at #1, and Red (Taylor's Version) looks like it will be my new #1, but All Too Well still has a chance of reclaiming it! She sure did, I Wish should stay stable but Loneliest Time Of Year will fall, probably out of the chart! All the re-entries should stay next week with some climbing too! I can't wait for what great music 2022 brings! Take care!

Hi there Conor!
Nice to see "Bite Me" at the top, I also like seeing "I Wish" and "Loneliest Time Of The Year" reaching the top 10, the big gains for "Song You'll Never Hear", "Champagne Problems" and "Spit Of You", the debuts for "Enemy" and "Do It To It" and the returns for "Shivers", "Sweet Dreams & Dynamite", "I Bet You're Thinking About Me", "Happier Than Ever", "Between Us", "I'm Trying (Not Friends)", "It Ain't Right", "Good 4 U", "My Heart Goes (La Di Da)", "Heat Waves", "Psycho", "24/5" and "Overpass Graffiti".
Great chart, wishing you a happy new year and hope to see more of your charts in 2022!

Hey Sergej! I reckon this is Bite Me's only week at #1, but at least it got there! I Wish will stay fairly stable and Song You'll Never Hear and Spit Of You should keep climbing. Most of the re-entries will stay fairly stable too! Happy New Year!!
