Chart

Top 20

Wolves remains at #1, the chart slumps for the last week of 2017.

For a 10th week, "Wolves" by Selena Gomez and Marshmello remains at the chat summit. The song has spent 11 weeks on the chart as has not dropped below #2 - the song is untouchable. Gomez has had no competition for almost 3 months but next week sees new releases from Justin Timberlake, Rita Ora & Liam Payne and Bruno Mars & Cardi B - will any of those artists be able to dethrone Gomez?...or will it not be until Gomez' next single that we get a new #1. Further down the chart, Gomez' "Bad Liar" climbs 4 places to #11, marking its 32nd non-consecutive week on the chart.

The rest of the chart seems a little off compared to previous weeks as streams were down 52% - many songs that have never charted before were able to benefit from this, some solid hits dropped off completely and some songs managed to peak higher than they ever would have. Rita Ora climbs 8 places, this week's highest climb, to #2 with "Anywhere". This is the song's 6th week on the chart and Rita's first top 2 hit of 2017. WIll her collaboration with Liam Payne reach as high? P!nk's "Beautiful Trauma" also saw a strong ascent of 6 places this week - the song has moved up to #3. This is the song's 6th consecutive week on the chart. After a big fall last week, Camila Cabello rebounded with a climb of 6 spaces this week- "Never Be the Same" is back in the top 10 at #8 for its 5th week on the chart, now a certfied hit.

This week's highest re-entry is from Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels with "I Miss You", previously peaking at #11, this week's position of #4 is a new peak for the song. "I Miss You" has spent 4 non-consecutive weeks on the chart. Two new entries this week were tracks from "The Greatest Showman" - Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron's "The Other Side" starts at #9 and Zac Efron and Zendaya's "Rewrite the Stars" starts at #7. "The Greatest Showman" didn't quite have as big of an impact on the chart as expected but four chart entries (including 2 from the past) is not too bad.

Dua Lipa dominates the lower half of the chart with "Be the One" starting at #12, "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)" re-entering at #13 (a new chart peak!), "Garden" starting at #14 and "New Rules" dropping 4 places to #17.

Speking of chart dominations, Taylor Swift also has 4 songs on the chart this week. "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" climbs a place to #5, "New Year's Day" re-enters at #6 (a new chart peak!), "...Ready for It?" re-enters at #10 (12 weeks) and "Look What You Made Me Do" is back at #16 (18 weeks).

Kesha has 3 songs on the chart. "Learn to Let Go" is back at #15 (7 weeks), "Tik Tok" enters the chart for the first time at #19 and "Woman" featuring The Dap-Kings Horns return to #20, spending a 5th non-consecutive week on the chart being certifed as a hit.

Finally, Demi Lovato's "Sorry Not Sorry" re-enters at #18, spending a 19th non-consecutive week on the chart.
