Chart

Top 20

Camila Conquers, Tell Me You Love Me reaches a new peak.

A chart domination by Miss Camila Cabello was expected, and she certainly delivered! Cabello has six songs on the chart this week, five being from her debut album! Only two other artists have had more simultaneous chart appearances at any one time - Taylor Swift and Kesha. Camila Cabello earned her second number 1 this week as "Into It" reached the top. Cabello's other chart-topper is "Havana" (#1 of August 2017), but surprisingly, that smash is nowhere to be seen this week. Cabello is infamous for having songs peak at #2, just missing out on the top. "Inside Out" looks likely to join that list of songs as it debuts in second place. "Never Be The Same" soars eight places up the chart to #4. The song has now spent seven weeks on the chart. The heartfelt ballad "Consequences" starts at #8. "Real Friends" returns to the chart at #20, seven spots away from its peak of #13. "Crying in the Club" also returned to the chart this week, despite not featuring on Cabello's debut collection. The song re-enters at #11 and has now spent 20 non-consecutive weeks on the chart. "Crying in the Club" has officially reached 'megahit' status - only two other songs have earned that title so far, both from chart queen Selena Gomez - "Bad Liar" and Kygo collaboration "It Ain't Me".

"Wolves" seems to be continuing a steady decline down the chart after a 10-week reign. Selena Gomez and Marshmello dip one place this week to #3. The song has charted for 13 weeks and has performed incredibly well. Gomez is rumoured to officially begin 'SG2' in March, and it looks like "Wolves" will be around till then.

Demi Lovato's chart presence increased this week. One was expected, the other not so much. Lovato has selected "Tell Me You Love Me" as the official second single from her latest album. The song re-entered at #18 last week and jumped 12 places to a new peak of #6. Lovato has the title for this week's biggest climber. Will "Tell Me You Love" make the most of a pretty uncompetitive release period and reach the top? Lovato's second entry is "Daddy Issues". The song re-enters at #5. Peaking at #1 in October and leaving the chart in November, it is surprising to see this song again. Lovato should be pleased though.

Last week's chart champion, "Filthy" by Justin Timberlake took a steep drop this week, falling six places to #7. "Filthy" seems to be the typical front-loaded #1. It hit the top though, and that was probably Timberlake's goal. How long will it last? Things looked promising for WALK THE MOON last week as "One Foot" debuted at #5 but this week the song fell seven places to #12. WALK THE MOON shouldn't let this push-back stop them, it's one foot in front of the other right? Rita Ora's "Anywhere" fell five places to #14, it has now spent eight weeks charting. "Bloodstone" by Guy Sebastian faired the best out of all the fallers, dropping just one place to #15. The biggest faller though comes in the form of "I Miss You" by Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels. The song drops ten spots to #16 this week after six weeks of charting.

Taylor Swift's "End Game", featuring Ed Sheeran and Future, returns to the chart to #9 this week. The music video has been released, and hopefully Swift will promote the song further to boost it on the chart. "...Ready for It?" notches up another week in the top 10, even if it did fall three places. The song is at #10 and has now spent 14 weeks on the chart.

Grace Vanderwaal's "So Much More Than This" returns to the chart, reaching a new peak. The song sits at #13, beating its previous high point - #18 in November. A song to watch entered the chart at #19- things looked stronger for the song mid-week but "Decline" by Raye featuring Mr Eazi will likely not settle this low.

Finally, songs from 'The Greatest Showman' are still hanging around. This week, two 'different songs'. The first, "This is Me" by Keala Settle returns at #17 since peaking at #12 in October. The second, "The Greatest Show" by Hugh Jackman, Keala Settle, Zac Efron, Zendaya and the ensemble starts at #18.

The same as last week, let's roll back to this week last year which saw "Paris" by The Chainsmokers take the chart crown. A year on, Julia Michaels appears on both charts (Issues/I Miss You), film soundtracks impact the chart (La La Land/The Greatest Showman) - funnily the same writers! Gomez may only have one song charting this year (Wolves), but last year she had five songs charting (I Want You to Know, Kill Em With Kindness, Outta My Hands (Loco), Who Says, Camouflage). In reverse, Camila Cabello made just one chart appearance this week last year (Bad Things) but has six this week (Into It, Inside Out, Consequences, Crying in the Club, Never Be the Same, Real Friends). Future also has a feature on both charts (Do You Mind/End Game). Finally, Ed Sheeran appears on both charts too (Castle on the Hill/End Game).
