EV Hot Songs | Week 274

CHART OVERVIEW
On this week’s chart, the ‘Midnights’ album keeps breaking and setting new records. Taylor Swift becomes the first artist to hold the entire Top 13 in a single week, with “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” entering the region for the first time, reaching a new peak of #8 — the thirteenth Top 10 hit off the album. Swift also set a new record as the first artist to hold 19 songs within the Top 20 in the same week. “Anti-Hero” becomes the artist’s longest-running #1 song, breaking the tie with “The Man”, “august”, and “coney island”, whose stayed atop for 2 weeks each.

Following the release of the 25th anniversary edition of Spice Girls’ sophomore album ‘Spiceworld’, its lead single “Spice Up Your Life” re-entered the chart at #26. ALICE (formerly ELRIS) achieves their second chart entry, four years after their first, as “DANCE ON” debuts at #33, a new career high. APink ChoBom’s “Copycat” re-entered the chart at #37. A fun fact is that all of the song’s 3-week chart-run were non-consecutive. OnlyOneOf’s “Zurui Onna” marks the first Japanese-language song in over one year to spent at least 10 weeks inside chart, since Nogizaka46’s Top 10 hit “Gomen ne Finger Crossed”, and the first ever for a male act.

NOTES
This week’s points for Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” includes its remix with Bleachers, being responsible for nearly 26% of the song’s total points — it did enough points to enter the Top 25. As well as Spice Girls’ “Spice Up Your Life”, which 34.5% of its points were from alternative versions of the song.
