Faves of the Week: Dec 22, 2023

This week, Bad Gyal achieves makes her solo comeback with Give Me, achieving her fifteenth #1 hit. She extends her own record as the artist with the most chart-toppers. Even though many Bad Gyal releases make a good chart run, 2023 was a tough year for her: she had only reached #1 with Chulo and three of her singles couldn't reach the top 10. These three songs (GHETTO PRINCESS, El Sol Me Da and QUÉ RICO) are the only three songs that couldn't manage to break through the top 10 since the chart consists of twenty entries. Give Me could set the start point to a successful era ahead of the release of "La Joia", Bad Gyal's debut album, in January.

The chart is full of entries. The top 3 itself only consists of debuts. At #2, Lola Indigo and La Zowi debut YO TENGO UN NOVIO, while Julieta debuts LOKURA at #3 (already her second highest peak). Rakky Ripper and Rizha debut RUIDO at #5. It's the first appearance of Rizha, and Ripper's ninth top-10 hit. Nebulossa debuts ZORRA at #9, the first entry from Benidorm Fest 2024 and the first for Nebulossa. Outside the top 10, Isabella Lovestory and Villano Antillano get Fuetazo to #12.

Six songs that peaked inside the top 10 fall off the chart. Two of them are songs by PinkPantheress (The aisle and Capable of love). Kali Uchis' Te Mata departs the chart after eight weeks and a peak at #3. Finally, Tinashe's Needs leaves the chart after seventeen weeks, one of them at #1. It's the longest-running entry by Tinashe, and now sits at #6 on 2023's Leaderboard (#40 on the overall leaderboard).
