My Favourite Songs of the First Half of 2018: http://crownnote.com/charts/gameskiller01/my-favourite-songs-of-the-first-half-of-2018

Top albums of the week:

1) Post Malone - 'beerbongs & bentleys' (=)
2) Drake - 'Scorpion' (+2)
3) Jorja Smith - 'Lost & Found' (Re)
4) Bebe Rexha - 'Expectations' (Re)
5) Various Artists - 'Black Panther: The Album' (Re)

Ariana Grande's 'God is a woman' holds off strong competition to stay at #1 for a 2nd week, becoming only the 10th song to ever spend multiple weeks at #1, and 7th to do it consecutively. As Ariana has already spent multiple weeks at #1 as a featured artist on Cashmere Cat's 'Quit', she becomes just the 3rd artist to ever have multiple songs spend multiple weeks at #1. She trails Ed Sheeran, who has 3 songs with multiple weeks at #1 ('New Man' and 'Bloodstream', both with 2 weeks, and 'River' with 3), and Camila Cabello, who also has 3 ('Havana' with 8 weeks, 'She Loves Control' with 4 and 'Real Friends' with 2).

Making a huge debut at #2 is 'Beautiful' by Bazzi and Camila Cabello, with Bazzi just missing out on his 1st #1 and Camila just missing out on her 10th! It was an extremely close race all through the week, but 'God is a woman' just managed to pull ahead at the last moment. This is actually the 1st time that Camila has ever missed out on #1 on a new song because of anyone other than herself; every other time she's been kept from the top with a new song the only person ahead of her has been herself. At #3 Drake's 'Mob Ties' rebounds 1, and at #7 Jorja Smith's 'Blue Lights' climbs 1 to reach a new peak. The 2nd highest climber of the week comes from Loud Luxury with 'Body', which climbs 10 places to enter the Top 10 at #10.

Outside of the Top 10, Drake's 'In My Feelings' climbs 3 to a new peak of #13, Ed Sheeran's 'Bloodstream' rebounds 9 places to #17 on its record-extending 65th consecutive week on the chart, while the highest climber of the week comes from Jorja Smith's 'Teenage Fantasy', which climbs 14 places to reach a new peak of #18. At #28 Post Malone's 'Candy Paint' climbs 6 to reach a new peak, while Jax Jones & Mabel's 'Ring Ring' rebounds 7 to #30. The only other debut of the week comes from benny blanco, Halsey & Khalid with 'Eastside', new at #25. Post Malone's 'Stay' also re-enters at #37. Of course, 'beerbongs & bentleys' spends its 14th non-consecutive week at #1 on the albums chart, and Post has 10 or more songs on the chart for the 15th consecutive week, with 14 this week.

Thanks for reading everyone! :D
