Chart

7th September, 2018 - 13th September, 2018

Top albums of the week:

1) Eminem - 'Kamikaze' (=)
2) Post Malone - 'beerbongs & bentleys' (=)
3) Various Artists - 'Black Panther: The Album' (Re)
4) Jorja Smith - 'Lost & Found' (-1)
5) Drake - 'Scorpion' (-1)

'God is a woman' is now just 1 week short of tying the all-time total for most weeks at #1 as it spends a 7th consecutive week in the position. Camila Cabello's 'Havana' spent 8 non-consecutive weeks at the top, though only 4 were consecutive. Eminem continues to dominate the Top 10, as most tracks from 'Kamikaze' climb this week. 'Lucky You' holds at #2, 'Not Alike' climbs 2 to #3 and 'Fall' climbs 3 to #4. He has 4 others at the bottom of the Top 10 as well, including a new entry to the region for 'Venom', which climbs 5 places to #8. The only other 2 songs in the Top 10 come from 'Sweetener', marking the first time that the Top 10 has ever only had songs from 2 albums in it. It has, however, been exclusively 1 album before when 'Camila' released.

The highest debut of the week comes from Dua Lipa with 'Want To' at #15, her first solo release from the upcoming 'Complete Edition' of her debut album 'Dua Lipa'. Alongside this, her collaboration with Silk City, 'Electricity', from that same album is the week's 2nd highest debut, at #24. At #20 AJ Tracey's 'LO(V/S)ER' climbs 2 to reach the Top 20, while Marshmello & Bastille's 'Happier' is the highest climber of the week, up 8 places to a new peak of #23. This song is definitely a contender for the Top 10 in the coming weeks! After a re-entry last week, BlocBoy JB & Drake's 'Look Alive' climbs 2 to a new peak of #25.

The 3rd debut of the week comes from chart regular Logic with 'Everybody Dies' at #29, ahead of the release of his next album 'Ultra 85' on 28th September. This song definitely has potential to climb over the coming weeks, and could possibly even be one of a few tracks from 'Ultra 85' in the Top 10 after its release. The 4th and final debut of the week is 'Back & Forth' from MK, Jonas Blue & Becky Hill at #38, marking just the 2nd chart entry for the former artist. Finally, Panic! At The Disco manage to re-enter at #39 with 'High Hopes'.

Thanks for reading everyone! :D

Very good chart as usual Gameskiller! :)
I love that 'God Is A Woman' stays at #1 yet again, as well as the re-entry for 'High Hopes' & especially 'Electricity' debuting.
See you soon & check out my new chart when you can!

Hey Piran! You actually found this chart before I'd written the overview for it! 'God is a woman' is looking very likely to tie the all-time record for most weeks at #1 next week, since all the Eminem tracks are still quite a bit behind and nothing else is even really close. If there's no huge debuts the week after, it should break the record as well! 'Electricity' is very likely to climb next week, but 'High Hopes' is still uncertain. It's been fluctuating around the bottom of the chart for a while now, so it could drop out by a small margin or stay in by a small margin. Thanks for the comment, and I'll check out your chart now! :D

Hey Gameskiller! Great to see you again. I'm sorry for missing out plenty of your charts, but I am very happy to be active once again. I have to say, your charts remained as good :). This is a great chart & very similar to the music I've been listening too. It's great to see a Top 10 dominated by 'Kamikaze' and 'Sweetener', although I don't like the latter. Eminem's album is great and it should position well on my next chart too! That aside, it's great to see 'Electricity' debuting & I wonder can it peak somewhere closer to the top? I like 'rockstar' as well and I REALLY LOVE 'Jackie Chan' as well! It had an amazing run on my chart this summer & it was the only song that stole #1 from 'Girls Like You' in the last three months! I'll catch you guys up with that, I have a lot of work first regarding recovering my charts since I haven't keep track of them since June. It's great to see 'Promises' and 'Pray For Me' round off the chart!

Hey RandomGuy! It's great to see you back! Don't worry about missing some of my charts - I missed plenty as well! There were a good few months where I wasn't making charts as well, and I only started again a couple of months ago. 'Kamikaze' is definitely my favourite album by far at the moment, but I wasn't really a fan of 'Sweetener' either. Other than the 3 tracks from it in the Top 10, and 'no tears left to cry', I don't like any of the other songs from the album. It's a shame, since I was really looking forward to it. 'Electricity' should definitely be climbing in my next chart and I'd say it has a pretty decent chance of reaching Top 10, but I doubt it'll be reaching Top 5. 'Jackie Chan' had an amazing run on my charts as well, including 11 weeks in the Top 10 and sneaking in a week at the top to become Post's 4th and final #1 of the summer. It's great speaking to you again, and I look forward to seeing your charts when you upload them! :D

Thank you for welcoming me back :). I am glad we both love 'Kamikaze' and I wonder can its' biggest hit stay relevant on your chart for months? We'll see. I'm glad we agree on 'Sweetener', although I don't really dislike the album because of the quality - I just struggle to like music from top trending female artists' recently. It's not like I'm generalizing either, I really like top female artists from the 00's and early 10's. I really love music (from that timespan) from Shakira, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna, their musical peeks are something I really love and many of their songs would find high places on my all-time list! So yeah, speaking in general, I don't know what makes me dislike this recent music, but I think it will take AWHILE for a lead female artist to have a #1 on my chart. Selena Gomez was actually the closest with 'Back To You' this summer, along with Cyprus ESC entry 'Fuego' by Eleni Foureira (peaked at #2). I'm glad that Electricity might reach Top 10 next week, who knows, maybe it goes higher :). I'll definitely let you know when my latest chart will be up, it's gonna be very soon :).

I'd say that 'Lucky You' and 'Fall' have the best chance of staying around for a long time to come from 'Kamikaze', and 'Not Alike' should do pretty well as well. 'Lucky You' will probably be the equivalent of '92 Explorer' from 'beerbongs & bentleys', since that spent a massive 18 weeks in the Top 10, 'Fall' will probably be the equivalent of 'Same Bitches' which spent 16 weeks in the Top 10 and 'Not Alike' will probably be the 'Blame It On Me', which only spent a total of 5 weeks in the Top 10 but stuck around in the Top 20 for a total of 15 weeks. 'Back to You' did really well for me as well, peaking at #5 with 10 weeks in the Top 10 and 16 weeks on the chart in total!
