Chart

26th January, 2018 - 1st February, 2018

Camila Cabello's 'She Loves Control' spends a 3rd consecutive week at #1 this week, tying with Eminem's 'River' for the 2nd longest run at #1 on my charts, both of which are behind Camila's own 'Havana' (4 consecutive, 8 non-consecutive). However, it's not all good news for my favourite artist this week. All other tracks from her new album take heavy hits this week, and 4 drop out of the chart entirely despite all tracks being in the Top 15 last week. I think that the most notable of the bunch is 'Real Friends'. After spending the past 6 weeks locked in at #2, and the 2 weeks before that at #1, it takes a sharp drop out of the Top 10 entirely as it drops to #11. Another very notable one is 'Havana' which spends its first week ever outside of the Top 10 after spending 23 weeks in the region, falling 4-15 this week.

In non-Camila news (somewhat), 'She Loves Control' sees serious competition from Mabel & Not3s' 2nd collaboration as 'Fine Line' advances 5-2 on its 2nd week on the chart. Calvin Harris also manages his 2nd Top 3 hit on my chart with 'Faking It' after 'Feels' hit #1. The song makes a very strong debut at #3. In doing this Kehlani also breaks chart records this week. She is the only artist to be featured on 3 Top 10 tracks but never even chart as a lead artist. The other 2 tracks in question are 'Crash & Burn' by G-Eazy (#4 Peak) and Eminem's 'Nowhere Fast' (#3 Peak). She is also the only artist to be a part of 3 or more tracks that have all peaked inside the Top 10, but never be a part of a song that has peaked outside of the region. Camila Cabello does come close to this record though, as 17 of the 19 songs she's been a part of have peaked inside the Top 10; the only 2 that didn't are 'Bad Things' and 'Love Incredible', though both would've reached the Top 10 if I was doing charts when they were released.

The #4 track is this week's highest climber, with Drake's 'Passionfruit' blasting up 32 places from its #36 debut last week. Completing the Top 5 is Jax Jones' 'Breathe', which climbs 7-5 on its 4th week on the chart. The rest of the Top 10 are all new entries to the region this week, with all being new debuts with the exception of 'Leg Over (Remix)', which climbs 10 places to #6 on its 2nd week on the chart. The new entries are Tech N9ne's 'Speedom' (#7), Halsey's 'Eyes Closed' (#8), blackbear's 'do re mi' (#9) and 'Game Changer' by MIST (#10), which also becomes Steel Banglez' 3rd hit and 2nd Top 10 hit on my chart; even though he isn't credited, both 'Game Changer' and 'No Words' by Dave (#23 Peak with an impressive 9 weeks on the chart) were produced by him. He also hit #1 with his own song, 'Bad', which is at #28 this week.

Outside of the Top 10 'rockstar' climbs for the 4th week running after dropping out of the chart for 1 week in December, up 19-12 this week. At this rate the song stands a really good chance of beating its current peak of #7, and it could quite possibly reach the Top 5! Mabel & Not3s' other collaboration, 'My Lover (Remix)', sits at #24 this week, blackbear sees 3 other new entries with 'up in this' (#18), 'chateau' (#26) and 'idfc' (#32), while Halsey sees 2 other new entries with 'Now Or Never' (#22) and 'Angel On Fire' (#31).

Thanks for reading everyone! :D I think I'll probably do a general overview of the chart every week from now on, but I doubt that they'll all be that long as there was a lot to talk about this week!

Hey Gameskiller! cool to see Camila keep her position at #1, and Fine Line climb to #2! I also like seeing Calvin, Jax Jones and Mist in the top 10 this week! I also like seeing the climb for IDGAF, but it's sad to see all the Camila songs fall so rapidly! if all were eligible for my chart, all would still be top 15/20 for me! :)
hope you've had a good week and can check out my chart later when it's up!

Hey Calum! I think that 'Fine Line' will probably be the next #1 on my chart, unless something that I really like gets released in the next couple of weeks. It's really gaining on 'She Loves Control' now, even if the latter does hold quite a large lead at the moment. But this week was one where I really just listened to a ton of new music, and didn't really listen to most songs that were already in my playlist. I'm pretty sure that Camila's songs will climb again next week though, since I've already listened to the album quite a bit this week. :D
I'll go check out your chart now!

Hello Gameskiller!
Great top 3!
I also like seeing Drake and Jax Jones in the Top 5!
I really love seeing "IDGAF" climbing and I like the debut of "Get It Together"!
Great chart overall!
Hope you have a great week and you can also check out my new chart, that I've recently put up!

Hey Sergej! I listened to quite a lot of new songs this week, as you can tell by the amount of new debuts, especially in the Top 10, and songs like 'Passionfruit' and 'IDGAF' were songs that I got into quite a bit this week as well, especially 'Passionfruit'. I'll go check out your chart now!

Hey Gameskiller! I really like your chart as usual. :)
I don't mind 'She Loves Control' still holding on to #1, but I love that 'Fine Line' climbed 5-2 on your new chart!
Those: Blackbear, Halsey & Drake debuts came as a bit of a surprise, but it's cool that 'Faking It' entered inside the Top 3.
It's a shame to see so many Camila songs take big falls this week, especially 'Never Be The Same' dropping out entirely!
I hope you can check out my new chart, as well as the OCC review that I did for this week.
I'll see you soon!

Hey Piran! I think that 'She Loves Control' will hold onto the top spot next week as it has a decent lead at the moment, but 'Fine Line' has a serious chance of dethroning it the week after as it's really been gaining on 'She Loves Control' recently! This week I really just listened to a ton of songs that I'd never listened to before, or songs that I'd barely listened to before, which is why Camila's songs took big hits this week and why there were a lot of new entries and big climbers into the Top 10.
I also listened to 'More Life' for the first time this week, and 'Passionfruit' and 'Get It Together' were really the only songs I liked from it.
I'll go check out your chart and OCC review now! :D

OMG, the #3 debut for "Faking It", lol. Calvin's album was my favorite from 2017.
I also like seeing "Eyes Closed" here. I think this is the first time I seen someone charting that song. Outside the top ten, I like "Havana", "Now or Never", "Finesse", "Bloodstream", "End Game", "Let You Down", "Him & I", and "Crying in the Club". Hope you can check out my chart when you have the time!

Hey MrMcCloud! I haven't actually heard Calvin's newest album in full yet, but I have been meaning to check it out for quite a while. I don't mind any of the songs I've heard from it so far, and I really like 'Feels' and I'm loving 'Faking It' at the moment! I also listened to mostly music that was new for me this week, which is why there are so many new entries and big climbs for songs that haven't been on the chart for so long, while songs that I've listened to a lot before generally took big hits this week.
I'll go check out your chart now! :D
