Hey Piran! Yeah, there have been a few bigger album bombs in the past, but no-one can even come close to the dominance Post Malone has here this week! 26 tracks in the Top 40, while the previous record was Ariana's 20 this March, and before that it was Camila's 19 last January! Making it even more impressive is that all 26 of Post's entries this week have him as the primary lead artist (and sole lead artist on 25 of them), while only 18 of Ariana's and 14 of Camila's entries had them as the primary lead aritst! Post will probably see a lot of dropouts next week given the insane amount of potential debuts, most of which are from the new 'Top Boy' album, but I'm almost certain that he'll still have over 10 entries. Given how well 'Liar' & 'Shameless', as well as 'Camila', did for both of us, I can easily see 'Romance' having more than 7 mutual Top 10s for both of us! It could quite easily take the entire Top 10 on my charts when it comes out, and I could see it potentially doing the same for you as well. 'Location' definitely has good may have fallen out of both my chart and the OCC this week, but it has very good potential to re-enter in the coming weeks for me given that it was still at #22 last week! I can see it rebounding into the Top 40 for a few more weeks over on OCC as well. Thanks for the comment! :D
Hey Gameskiller! :)
Woah... so while this might not be the biggest "album bomb" ever, it's certainly the biggest artist takeover here! Seriously though, it's incredible that Post Malone managed to land more songs inside your Top 40 than all other artists combined.
As you already know by now, the Top 10 looks absolutely amazing, with Camila Cabello & Post Malone allowing us to have five mutual songs there this week. The record, of course, is held by the week that 'Camila' was released (with seven each!), but I feel like 'Romance' might extend that record further given how well 'Shameless' & 'Liar' did for both of us!
It's also awesome to see Post Malone make even more history as the first artist with three albums inside the Top 3 in the same week, let alone the Top 5! Over the course of the next week, I'll try to post a full track rating of 'Hollywood's Bleeding' to you, either here or over on Disqus.
Finally, while I still like the song, I do think it's a cool coincidence that 'Location' dropped out of your chart in the same week that it left the OCC Top 40!
Overall, really good chart once again.
