Billboard Hot 40

On this week's chart, "Levitating (Remix)" by Dua Lipa featuring DaBaby jumps three spots to number one after a lengthy climb of twenty-nine weeks to the top spot. After debuting at number thirty-nine at the end of October 2020, "Levitating" gradually lifted up the charts until it reached number twenty by December before falling down again, buoyed by the influx of Christmas songs. After Christmas, "Levitating" skyrocketed from number thirty-one all the way to number thirteen. Five weeks later, the song reached its initial peak of number four off the strength of its lead over pop radio before it fell down the chart again, reaching number twenty-one just five weeks later. After this, "Levitating" went viral on TikTok and its streaming numbers greatly improved. "Levitating" peaked on radio in February and streaming in April; however, its newfound interest in streaming has prompted an unprecedented radio revival. Because of this, "Levitating" marched right back up the charts, taking nine weeks from number twenty-one to reach the pinnacle spot. "Levitating" remains strong in streaming, continues to re-increase in radio, and this week was helped by a sales campaign with avid fans buying her song (all versions of "Levitating" contribute to the remix with DaBaby as that is the most popular version). Dua Lipa scores her second number one after previous leader "Don't Start Now" while DaBaby scores his third number one as well after "Rockstar" with Roddy Ricch and his featured role on Jack Harlow's "Whats Poppin (Remix)". "Leave the Door Open" by Silk Sonic (the duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) returns to number two after already spenidng two weeks at number one. Now in its tenth week on the chart, "Leave the Door Open" has never left the top three of the chart, buoyed in chart points by its current lead over the radio airwaves. The Weeknd's previous two week number one "Save Your Tears" drops one spot to number three after one week from leading pop radio and one week due to its remix with Ariana Grande. At number four, J. Cole debuts his new song "i n t e r l u d e" off robust streaming numbers, one week ahead of his new album The Off Season. "i n t e r l u d e" should benefit from the release of this album and could make a run for the top spot. J. Cole currently has one number one song with "Middle Child", which hit number one in February of 2019. "Peaches" by Justin Bieber featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon holds at number five after debuting at the top eight weeks ago as it posts the biggest airplay gainer for a seventh week. "Kiss Me More" by Doja Cat featuring SZA likewise repeats at number six, five weeks after debuting at number five. "Kiss Me More" has stayed extremely steady after its high debut on the chart. Its streaming numbers have only increased since its debut as its radio catches up to such an early interest in streaming. "Astronaut in the Ocean" by Masked Wolf jumps two spots to return to its peak at number seven. Polo G's first number one "RAPSTAR" drops one spot to number eight five weeks after debuting at number one. Trippie Redd's new single "Miss the Rage" featuring Playboi Carti debuts at number nine after a week of robust streaming numbers. "Miss the Rage" is Trippie Redd's first top ten, and even first top twenty hit after his only entry "Tell Me U Luv Me" with Juice WRLD debuted and peaked at number twenty-six. "Miss the Rage" is Playboi Carti's second number one after his featured spot on Drake's "Pain 1993" debuted at number nine. Rounding out the top ten, the Kid Laroi's "Without You" drops two spots to number ten, one week after skyrocketing from number twenty-five to a new peak of number eight off the strength off the song's remix with Miley Cyrus. Last week's number one, Billie Eilish's "Your Power" falls ten spots to number eleven. Elsewhere on the chart, "Blinding Lights", the enduring hit by The Weeknd, logs its milestone seventy-fifth week on the chart as it drops one spot to number fourteen. Excluding Christmas, the last time this song ranked as low as number fourteen was February 7, 2020. "Blinding Lights" only continues to supplant itself as the most dominant song in chart history. "Beautiful Mistakes" by Maroon 5 featuring Megan Thee Stallion repeaks at number eighteen. Giveon's "Heartbreak Anniversary" hits the top twenty for the first time as it lifts one spot to number twenty. "Forvever After All" by Luke Comb's continues to second wind by lifting two spots to number twenty-four after deubitng at number one at the end of October 2020. "Track Star" by Mooski lifts two spots to hit a new peak of twenty-six. Dua Lipa's followup single to "Levitating", "We're Good", hikes three spots to a new peak of number twenty-eight. "Heat Waves" by Glass Animals, "Breaking Up Was Easy in the 90s" by Sam Hunt, and "Goosebumps (Remix) by Travis Scott and HVME all jump two spots to new peaks of thirty-one, thirty-five, and thirty-six, respectively. Moneybagg Yo debuts another song off his most recent album A Gansta's Pain as "Wockesha" debuts at number thirty-seven. Finally, Miranda Lambert's "Settling Down" debuts at number thirty-nine.
