Haziq's Hot 40 (November 5, 2022)

It's a crazy week on Haziq's Hot 40! Over the past week, Taylor Swift's new album Midnights scored phenomenal, massive numbers worldwide and shattered records left and right. All 20 tracks from the album were (and are now, at the time of publication) charting on the global charts, including the lead single Anti-Hero. And yes, as predicted, the song lands at number one here on HH40!

But that's not all. Another song comes into the top 40, and it's by Singaporean-Malaysian singer and rapper, Alyph. He debuts at #35 with Swipe. That means there are two debuts this week. Meanwhile, these songs enter the top ten: Anti-Hero (Taylor Swift, #1), Evergreen (Omar Apollo, #7), and Shinunoga E-Wa (Fujii Kaze, #10). Plus, Harry Styles bounces back to the top 10 with Music For a Sushi Restaurant, thanks to its music video release on October 27. It's at #9, up 3 spots from last week.

And the brand new number one song on HH40 is the one aforementioned: Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift (debut, 1st week at #1)

Anti-Hero is the third song to debut at #1 on my chart this year. First, The Weeknd debuted at #1 with Sacrifice in January, followed by Joji's Glimpse of Us becoming the second song to do so this summer.

So, here's my personal list of the top 40 songs for this week, in full. Will 'Queen' Tay Tay score another big week on top, or will Sam and Kim steal the crown, or even JVKE reclaim the pole position? Hmm, next week couldn't come sooner, so we'll find it out then!
