Haziq's Hot 40 (September 9, 2023)

This week marks the first anniversary of my personal chart under the current name, Haziq's Hot 40. Man, time passes by so fast! I remember back in 2021 (or early '22 maybe?) when I discovered this website called Crownnote, where you can create your own music chart by ranking your favorite songs here. Then, I thought, "Crownnote lets people rank the top songs they listen to?? Wow, this is dope, I should try it!" And so, I decided to make my own chart here. It started on April 2, 2022 as Haziq's Personal Chart, but there were no intros like I usually do now. I also created the charts for the previous years using that said name. But later that year, on September 5, I came up with a new name for this list, so as not to make it "cliche," which is why it's named Haziq's Hot 40. A year ago at this time, Steve Lacy had my top song here, and I was at home waiting for my college applications to be approved. Now, here I am, currently furthering my studies in university, as well as enjoying the fresh beats of the day and regularly publishing this chart every week. These are the things I love to do, and I love every single moment of them. I hope these will last even longer. 

Well, enough talking, back to ranking: this week's HH40 sees four new songs debuting, and they are from Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Zach Bryan, and wave to earth. (The last two artists enter the chart for the first time ever.) Plus, Dave and Central Cee's hit joint Sprinter breaks into the top ten, up 2 spots from #12 to #10. Now, the top 3 hits for this week...

#3: Jiwa Yang Bersedih by Ghea Indrawari (down 2)
#2: Dance The Night by Dua Lipa (up 1)
And the brand new number one song on HH40: Paint The Town Red by Doja Cat (up 1, 1st week at #1)
