Clean Bandit & Demi Lovato make it a month - Top 10 gets shaken up
"Solo" by Clean Bandit & Demi Lovato stays on top of the charts for the fourth time in a row this week, fending off the rising "Ocean" by Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix featuring Khalid, which rises to the second place after its #6 debut last week. Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa manage to hold onto their #3 spot with "One Kiss", which spends a third week at #3. Right below, Jess Glynne drops from her #2 peak with "I'll Be There", landing at #4. Ariana Grande occupies two spots inside the top 10 this week - "no tears left to cry" drops a spot to #5, infront of the debuting "the light is coming", which features Nicki Minaj. Below the two Ariana tracks, 5 Seconds Of Summer make a major leap into the top 10, climbing a whole 18 spots to #7 with "Youngblood", a strong contender in the coming weeks. BTS slowly lose momentum, dropping three places to land at #8 with "Fake Love", just barely ahead of "APESHIT" by The Carters - Beyoncé & Jay Z. Tove Lo, Charli XCX, Icona Pop, Elliphant & ALMA close out this weeks top 10 with their collaboration "bitches", which has all the momentum on its side as it climbs a strong 7 places, in turn knocking Selena Gomez' "Back to You" out of the top 10.
Demi Lovato debuts at #12 with "Sober", one place ahead of "Growing Pains", the lead single for Alessia Cara's sophomore album. German singer and songwriter ELI roars into the top 15 with "Change Your Mind", gaining 10 places. Two more songs featuring Ariana Grande stay inside the top 20, with "Bed" by Nicki Minaj falling 6 spots to #17, a place infront of Troye Sivan's "Dance To This", which gains 2 spots. The official 2018 world cup song "Live It Up" by Nicki Jam, Will Smith & Era Istrefi climbs 10 places this week, landing at #20. Both "Lash Out" and "Sangria Wine" drop out of the top 10 this week, dropping 14 and 15 places respectively. Halsey & Lauren Jauregui leap forward 45 places, from 70 to 25, off the back of their music video for former #1 single "Strangers". Summer Cem & Bausa, aswell as BLACKPINK make their way into the top 30, with both songs, "Casanova" and "DDU-DU DDU-DU" still having room to grow.
"Girls Like You" by Maroon 5 ft. Cardi B climbs 5 places and could rise even higher next week. George Ezra gains 4 spots with his fun summer single "Shotgun", reaching a new #37 peak. Rita Ora slowly starts gaining momentum again, as her collaboration with Cardi B, Bebe Rexha & Charli XCX, "Girls", gains points for the fourth week in a row. The single, which debuted at #22, then rapidly fell down the charts, may still become a hit.
Taylor Swift jumps forward 22 places with "Getaway Car", landing at #46. "She Loves Control" by Camila Cabello also gains big this week, climbing up 17 spots. Two songs that peaked at #3, in Imagine Dragons' "Whatever It Takes" and Jax Jones ft. Ina Wroldsen's "Breathe" re-enter the charts this week, at #59 and #61 respectively.
