Don't Start Now still remains a powerhouse, and rose to #2 this week. Only The Young looks like it will miss out on repeaking or reaching #1, as it is blocked by Dua's singles. Meghan Trainor and Nicki Minaj gracefully return to the charts at #4 with their new single Nice To Meet Ya, becoming Meghan's second and Nicki's eighth top-ten single. A Sweeter Place rises back into the top five this week. React, the Pussycat Dolls comeback single, debuts at #6 becoming their second top ten single in chart history. You should be sad by Halsey remains somewhat stable in the bottom half of the top ten. Doja Cat earns her fourth top ten single with Cyber Sex reaching #8 this week. Outside of the top ten, The Man fell one spot to #11. Halsey debuts a song from the Birds of Prey soundtrack, Experiment On Me, at #13. Lennon Stella earns her third top twenty single with Kissing Other People debuting at #14. Several Rare tracks appear in the top twenty and are for the most part stable. She Wolf by Shakra returns to the charts at #18 after her Super Bowl performance. Cruel Summer for the first time ever has left the top fifteen, sitting at #19 this week. It is likely to rebound though. God is a Woman, which made a small comeback last week, remains stable at #20. To finish out the charts, Karol G and Nicki Minaj's single Tusa debuts at #23, and a single from Kesha's new album debuts at #25.
This year is shaping up to be Dua Lipa's year, as she has made her presence known within the charts. Physical has racked up 40+ plays in 2 weeks, and Don't Start Now has not left the top fifteen since its debut, and fourteen of those weeks were spent in the top ten. Doja Cat, Halsey, and Selena Gomez also had their fair share of chart success so far as a result of other artists such as Taylor, Ariana, and others being either out of an era, or not promoting anything currently. If this trend continues, different artists are likely to shine on the charts.
