JProd chart - My chart - Christmas week!

Gracious greetings from you to me and everything in between, welcome to the Christmas chart right here at JProd!

Here I'm going to review my current Top 40 personal chart. This is based on ths songs I've been enjoying most over the week and what's stuck with me most. As its Christmas, let's stay merry and bright as we run-down the list. So the number 1 here is Human by Rag n Bone Man. Holding number 1 with a pretty clear but narrowing lead from The Weeknd's most recent shot for his first number 1, with I Feel It Coming at number 2. Daft Punk will be looking for their second number 1 with this, as Get Lucky spent 5 weeks at number 1 back in 2013. All We Ever Know holds at number 3 as Call On Me skips it to number 4. This is going to decline in future weeks just as long as songs come in for the challenge. This is likely going to be Body Moves, whilst it still has to overtake Nervous (The Ooh Song) by Gavin James for number 5, rises to number 6 and is still on the rise. Number 7 is chart veteran Starving which is on its way out, unlike challengers Handclap and Sk1n (Wingtip remix) at 8 and 9 respectively which seem to be stationary but could rise against weaknesses of the above. Wrapping up the top 10 is Capsize, which is likely going to leave the top 10 next week.

This is heavily implied to be because of the massive rise of Crossfire to 14. Despite it being an older track, it's received a very high score of 8.4 and thus should be a huge hit down the line. Rising as well just below to 16 is Rockabye by Clean Bandit, which rises solely due to it nabbing Christmas number 1 in the UK. This has lead to several declines, none felt more than with I Need Never Get Old  which slumps to 23. Next week this should fall below another huge riser in Invitation by Yellow Claw which gets its huge boost this week and is set to go higher again. With The Weeknd facing the might of the axe this week, with False Alarm leaving and A Lonely Night dropping 9 to 27, the rise to number 2 should be seen as a false blessing. As he isn't likely to have anything more off his album Starboy. Bad Things by Machine Gun Kelly also falls badly to 32 as the review kicks in and allows me to see that the song is really not that great. The final drop of the week comes from Blow Your Mind (Mwah) which should leave next week. About time.

New entries this week come from You Don't Know Me by Jax Jones & Raye creeps in at 40; No Problem by Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz at 38; All Night by The Vamps & Matoma at 37;You Don't Get me High Anymore by Phantogram coming in after bubbling under for a while; and Touch by Little Mix entering strong at 29. All of which have a reasonable chance of rising if they can hold off the armada or hits raring to escape the bubbling under. Leaving this week is Angel Zoo by Phlake off of its return last week, After The Afterparty by Charli XCX taking a short break from the top 40, Fresh Eyes by Andy Grammer, Treat You Better by Shawn Mendes and the aformentioned False Alarm by The Weeknd. Should be interesting to see what happens to these songs next week.
