Kevin & Roxy Dekker make it to #1 in a crowded Top 10

Following fifty weeks of English hits leading this chart, it is finally time for a Dutch song to take over and peak at Number 1. And it’s a big one this week – “Jij Hebt Mij” by Dutch rapper Kevin and Dutch singer Roxy Dekker debuts at Number 1 with the biggest opening numbers of 2026 so far. Kevin is a Rotterdam-based rapper that has been signed to Noah’s Ark label following humble beginnings under Rotterdam Airlines. He rapped on the popular 101Barz and slowly became recognizable for his slow flow and deep lyricism, earning him the nickname Slowflow Animal on the scene. Following years of hard work, Kevin his big break came in 2018 with the earworm “Beetje Moe”. More Top 40-hits and high-profile collaborations followed, until his 2021-album Animal Stories was awarded the prestigious Dutch Edison Award. On here, Kevin his most successful songs were mostly cross-over with female artists – his only Top 10-hits before now being “Als Ik Je Niet Zie” with Yade Lauren or “De Leven” with S10. And on “Jij Hebt Mij”, Kevin once again rings up a Dutch female star: Roxy Dekker. She’s the literal opposite of Kevin. A pop star through and through; Roxy Dekker’s big break came suddenly in 2023 when a prank song parodying the Dutch Anne-Fleur archetype went viral. She strook the iron while it was still hot, currently still enjoying an unbroken string of Top 10-hits, which include the #1s “Sugardaddy” and “Gaan We Weg?”. The new “Jij Hebt Mij” combines Kevin’s slow flow and hard-hitting bars with Roxy Dekker’s sweet and soft pop sensibilities. It’s a strange combination that not so strangely is surefire hit. It debuts at Number 1 with stellar figures, dethroning Dominic Fike after three weeks. The last song to debut at Number 1 was Harry Styles’s “Aperture”. The last Dutch-language hit to peak at Number 1 was Pommelien Thijs’s “Atlas” from May fifty long weeks ago in 2025.

Madonna has launched her Confessions II project, firing on all cylinders. It is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor. That project came after Madonna her controversial American Life era, which split her fandom in two and failed to spawn significant hits on Billboard. On Confessions, Madonna re-introduced herself with more disco than techno, and topped the charts with “Hung Up” and “Sorry”. With its hit singles and status as a career saver, Madonna’s been long asked to finally follow up the project – and this year, she gave in. Confessions II is on its way and has been greatly promoted already. Lead single “I Feel So Free” currently sits at #23, she has cameoed in Devil Wears Prada 2, and she joined Sabrina Carpenter onstage during her Coachella Weekend headlining set to sing "Vogue” and a completely new single: “Bring Your Love”. And that, is Confessions II big second single and Madonna’s big swing for a major hit. Recruiting Sabrina Carpenter is a smart move; she’s notched up five Number 1s in a short span and hasn’t left the Top 10 since “Espresso”. The last time Madonna was seen in the Top 10 was also in collaboration with another more modern popular act – namely on “Popular” with The Weeknd for HBO’s The Idol. “Bring Your Love”, however, is not a The Weeknd-featurette or a Sabrina-heavy hit, it’s pure Madonna and breaths Confessions II. It starts off at #5. It marks Madonna’s first Top 10-hit with a lead credit since 2008’s “Miles Away”.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be released in theatres soon, with Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway set to reprise their iconic roles. The original film from 2006 spawned a surprisingly successful soundtrack. KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See”, which was used in the film’s opening credits, became KT’s breakout hit on my personal chart, while Madonna’s “Jump” its chart performance benefited from the song its inclusion on the soundtrack. Last week, The Devil Wears Prada 2 its soundtrack was released. It holds Olivia Dean’s Top 10-hit “Nice to Each Other” and Dua Lipa’s underrated “End of an Era”, and also, the lead hit “Runway” by Lady Gaga and Doechii. That fashionable hit moves to #8 this week. Lady Gaga might not be a stranger to a Top 10-hit or even a soundtrack hit – hello, “Shallow” ! – but for rapper Doechii, “Runway” is only her well-deserved second Top 10-song ever. She previously made it to #4 with the Grammy-winning “Denial is a River”. “Runway” is boosted up by the album’s release, the start of the film’s theatrical run, and most decisively, it is most elevated by a music video, which features the women in big, stunning costumes that celebrate the ballroom scene.

Sienna Spiro also contributes to The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack with “Material Lover” at #26. In stark contrast to the emotion-heavy ballads “Die On This Hill” or “The Visitor”, on this new fresh hit, Sienna Spiro channels her best Raye or Olivia Dean and optimistically sings about what type of lover she really wants. It’s a refreshing change of pace. Further down, Dutch-Moroccan-Moluccan singer-rapper ADF Samski bets for a summer hit on “Punta Cana” at #35. He recruits mentor Ronnie Flex on the track, as well as a bunch of other rappers and producers from the Dutch hip hop scene. While ADF Samski might hope for a summer hit in the Caribbean, Amsterdam-based music duo ANOTR hope for an Ibiza hit on “Talk To You” at #37. The house track is an immediate earworm and a perfect song to turn up when the temperatures rise.
