Mr. President secure their position at Number 1

Mr. President celebrate a second week at Number 1 with Coco Jamboo. The song is starting to get international recognition as well, reaching the charts in multiple European countries. The song receives a Gold Certification this week, as the single has scored over 40,000 points.

George Michael scores his second Top 10-entry with Fastlove. He recently reached the Top 10 with Jesus To a Child, which was the lead single of his newest album ‘Older’. The song peaked at Number 2 and was certified Gold. His newest entry reaches Number 7 this week.

Marco Borsato continues to score one hit after another. The Dutch superstar has sold out concerts in arenas, scored two hit-albums and is becoming one of the Netherlands’ best-selling artists of all time. On this list, he has scored three Top 10-singles last year, including the success Je Hoeft Niet Naar Huis Vannacht, and one chart-topper with Ik Leef Niet Meer Voor Jou. He now scores his fifth Top 10-entry with Vrij Zijn at Number 10.

Nancy Sinatra scores the highest debut of the week with her 1966-hit You Only Live Twice. The song was the soundtrack to the James Bond-film of the same name, starring Sean Connery and Donald Pleasence. Other James Bond theme songs have entered the list before, including the Platinum-certified hit GoldenEye by Tina Turner. Nancy Sinatra opens at Number 23.

Four singles receive a Gold Certification this week. Babylon Zoo receive Gold for their Top 10-hit Spaceman, R&B-singer Mark Morrison receives Gold for Return of the Mack, current chart-topper Mr. President celebrate Gold for Coco Jamboo and, finally, girl group Linda, Roos & Jessica receive Gold for their Top 3-hit Alles Of Niets.

2 Unlimited receive a Platinum Certification for Jump For Joy. The Eurodance-act has scored nine entries on the list, including Top 10-hits such as Here I Go. Their most-successful single on this list previously was No Limit, which was certified Gold, but following their new Platinum status, Jump For Joy has become their best entry on the list. The single peaked at Number 2 earlier this year.
