Volumia! and Jennifer Paige go head to head for this week’s Number 1; B*Witched goes 2 x Platinum with “C’est La Vie”

Volumia! celebrate a second week at Number 1 with Hou Me Vast. The song is rapidly becoming one of the year’s biggest hits. As of this week, the single has received a Gold Certification. The song has scored over 40,000 points. The single is Volumia! their first ever certification, whilst it is also their highest-scoring single of all time. The song faces strong competition from Jennifer Paige and Meja, who near closely.

Shania Twain steps into the Top 10 with From This Moment On. The single is the fourth release from Shania Twain her hit album “Come On Over”. The album already spawned the Number 1-hit You’re Still the One, which spent two weeks above the list and amassed over 70,000 points. The additional album also was a massive success, becoming a multi-platinum success across the globe. From This Moment Is marks the newest success, peaking at Number 10 this week. The new ballad is Shania Twain her second Top 10-hit.

Brandy scores the highest debut of the week. The American teen-singer has already had a massive year. She scored her first ever chart-topper with The Boy Is Mine alongside Monica. The duet became the first ever female duet to peak above the list and went on held the crown for five weeks. Brandy then scored a Top 10-hit with Top of the World, taken from her new album “Never Say Never”. The album now spawns Have You Ever? as its third release. The single makes a spectacular high debut, entering at Number 15.

Sash! and Tina Cousins receive a Gold Certification for their hit single Mysterious Times. The single became another big hit for producer Sash!, whom has had success with other releases such as Stay and Ecuador. The new single features singer Tina Cousins. The single peaked at Number 7. As of this week, the single has amassed over 40,000 points. The single is Tina Cousins her first ever single to achieve a Gold Status.

Boyzone celebrate a Platinum Certification for their massive hit No Matter What. The single became Boyzone their first ever Number 1-hit, spending five weeks above the list. The single rapidly climbed the charts, whilst also becoming an international success. The chart-topper marks Boyzone their best-scoring single to date, surpassing previous successes such as Words and A Different Beat. The new hit is Boyzone their first ever Platinum-certified hit. As of this week, No Matter What has scored over 65,000 points.

B*Witched receive a 2 x Platinum Certification for their chart-topper C’est La Vie. The single became B*Witched their breakthrough success on this list, spending two weeks at Number 1 and thirteen weeks within the Top 10. The hit made B*Witched the first ever Irish act to peak above the list. The group fought off strong competition from the Spice Girls and Robbie Williams. The single paved the way for other successes, such as the eponymous album and the new single Rollercoaster. As of this week, C’est La Vie has amassed over 90,000 points.
