Zara Larsson fights off new competition at the top

Sweden’s favorite pop princess Zara Larsson is officially back on top! It all started a few months back when Zara Larsson performed for a sold-out crowd in Amsterdam and invited her Dutch fan, Julia, to join her on stage to dance to “Lush Life”. The memorable moment went viral and fit perfectly with the 2016 nostalgia trend right now. “Lush Life” resurged and is now set to also become a hit in the United States, nearly ten years after the fact. Meanwhile, her latest album Midnight Sun also finally received its flowers. Combine that with a PinkPantheress-collaboration with an already iconic music video – and yup, it truly is 2016 again. This week, “Midnight Sun” stays at Number 1 for a third week. It is still shining bright. The only real competition comes from, well.., Zara herself! Her collaboration with PinkPantheress is in second place. Zara Larsson previously hit the top spot three times: “Lush Life”, then with Tinie Tempah on “Girls Like” and a solo week with Clean Bandit’s “Symphony”. “Midnight Sun” marks Zara Larsson’s first Number 1-hit in nearly nine years.

Indie-pop star Froukje returns with her first solo release since January 2024 this week: she unleashes “Iedereen Gaat Vreemd” at #4. On the synth-pop song, Froukje is joined by an all-new backing band as she observes how rare monogamy is these days. Froukje has come a long way since her small indie beginnings – she debuted in 2020 with the protest song “Groter Dan Ik” which was quickly picked up by small radio stations and often referred to during climate discussions. Two EPs, many guitar-driven singles and much more festival appearences later, Froukje finally released her debut album in January 2024 to critical acclaim and great success. In the meantime, Froukje collaborated with singer and best friend S10 on four seperate singles and a mini-album; all of which peaked inside the Top 10 and make up for Froukje and S10’s their biggest hits yet. With “Iedereen Gaat Vreemd”, Froukje will be hoping to score a new personal best on her own. With its debut at #4, Froukje already earns her biggest debut yet. She previously debuted at #5 in July 2025 with “Oeps” alongside rapper Sef.

The Little Mix solo journey continues following a tumultous week for the Mixer fandom. Jesy Nelson released a documentry with Prime detailing her pregnancy, the Little Mix break-up and her maligned solo career. It ofcourse led to lots of tabloids coverage and online discussion, all distracing from the fact that third Little Mix-alumna released her solo debut album this week! Leigh-Anne unleashed My Ego Told Me To, a fresh pop album that celebrates her British-Jamaican herritage. Leigh-Anne’s solo career has had a rough start; after intiially partnering with Warner Records, she soon parted ways with the label after creative differences and insuffient fundings. Now with Virgin Music, Leigh-Anne is up again and she’ll be hoping to match JADE and Perrie’s #3-debut on the UK Albums Charts. In an odd move, early solo singles “Don’t Say Love” and “My Love” are not included on the record, though they are Leigh-Anne’s most successful solo songs so far. To celebrate the release of My Ego Told Me To, Leigh-Anne’s new single “Most Wanted” soars to #17.

Bad Bunny has a returning hit thanks to his acclaimed Super Bowl LX halftime show. During the fifteen-minute set, Bad Bunny performed his big singles, including the Number 1 “DtMF”. That song now re-enters the chart, while further down, the other song “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” debuts at #39. It earns Bad Bunny his landmark tenth Top 40-hit. Meanwhile, Myles Smith and Niall Horan team up on the radio-friendly “Drive Safe” at #34.
