Chart

My Top 50

On the chart dated April 20, 2018, we get the Pentatonix album bomb. To start with, we get a new #1 with "Despacito x Shape Of You", the mash-up of songs I wasn't too fond off... then I heard Kirstin Maldonado in Spanish, and she's really convincing and attractive on the song honestly. We also get two other Pentatonix covers, with "Praying" by Kesha at #8, and "Feel It Still" by Portugal. The Man at #6. In total, we have four Pentatonix songs in the Top 10, and 11 in the Top 50. Impressively, every cover from the album peaked higher than the originals. The closest was "Praying". The original track by Kesha peaked at #10.

Only three other debuts this week. "Cry Pretty" by Carrie Underwood debuts at #36 off the American Country Music Awards, "Lie" by NF debuts at #38, and "Talia" by King Princess at #46, off the strength of her other song, "1950", which holds at #12 this week.

Lots of notable dropouts, including "LEPS" by Lil Vodka, "Filthy" by Justin Timberlake, and "GA-MAN" by Rhymeberry.

To predictions, we should get two big debuts in the Top 10 from pop stars Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift, though the latter is a country song in collaboration with country duo Sugarland. Expect the current #1 to stick around awhile.

Hey Naos! :)
I like seeing Pentatonix have so many debuts on your chart this week! I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that HDD are expecting them to get a Top 10 debut on the BB200 tomorrow with their latest album.
Aside from that, I love that 'Castles' & 'Delicate' are both still inside the Top 5!
It's also really good that 'Babe' & 'No Tears Left To Cry' are expected to make Top 10 debuts in the next chart, as the same should also be happening for me.
Finally, do you see many Avicii songs re-entering or debuting on your chart next week following the sad news of his death?
Have a nice week!

We'll see if Avicii can make an impact. But yes, I am pleased about Pentatonix continuing to do well, glad you like the chart.

I really hope he does. By the way, I posted a new chart yesterday, so check that out when you get the chance! :)

Oh so you mean to tell me that "10 Victoria's Secret Models" dropped out already? Dang. It didn't even lasted 10 weeks on the chart.

So you apparently like Ariana's comeback single. I thought it was alright, but somewhat disappointing. But I think I'm gonna LOVE "Babe"! I've actually heard of Sugarland before but never looked them up.

Anyways, I like "Delicate", "Mine" (have you heard his album?), "Say Amen (Saturday Night)", "The Middle", "Marry Me", "Break A Little", and "These Days".

A lot of songs dropped out because of the Pentatonix album bomb. MAX's song might be able to return. We'll see. I haven't heard too much of Bazzi's album yet.

Oh, I just heard "1950"! I like it! :-)

Do you think they'd send it to pop radio? It does have potential.

It actually got five adds at alternative radio. Not too sure if it'll go to pop though. She also has a more upbeat song called "Talia" that debuted on my chart this week.
