My Top 50

If this week told me anything... it's that there is a complete lack of competition. You won't see this much looking at the Top 10.  It's pretty standard. "Despacito x Shape of You" leads for a 6th week, and looks for a 7th. BABYMETAL's "Distortion" held to #2, and we even got a debut at #3 with "Welcome to the Party" by Diplo, French Montana, Lil Pump, and Zhavia Ward. Off the Deadpool 2 soundtrack, the song is a first to chart at all for all artists, let alone the Top 5. Granted, not much else happened.

We even got a bit of notable gains this week, as "Talia" by King Princess jumps 25-15, and "Lie" by NF climbs 41-30. We also got a few debuts, so what's the problem? Well, while "First Time" by M-22 featuring Medina debuts at #33, the rest are indicative. "The Legend of Zelda Rap" by Smosh at #43, a novelty track from 7 years ago by a YouTube duo who's not even together anymore, a song by the "Catch Me Outside Girl" aka Bhad Bhabie debuts at #46, and "I Won't Let You Go" by Switchfoot featuring Lauren Daigle debuting at #48 despite being in and out of the Bubbling Under since 2017? Yeah, there just isn't a lot I like to put here. More evidence? Not only did "Sing" by Pentatonix debut at #45, and "Take Me Home" return at #41 because I stream a ton of Pentatonix tracks quite regularly (I even have a playlist of what I think our their best tracks), we got their cover of "Mary, Did You Know?" at #50... a Christmas song, along with "Hallelujah" returning to Bubbling Under range. Yup, due to the complete lack of competition, we have Christmas songs charting in May. Until any good new music comes in, we'll be getting fillers like these and very few debuts. So not much to look to forward to in the coming weeks.

In good news, songs that would probably never chart could end up charting due to this slowdown.

Yeah, this is kind of the issue with my charts at the moment too; there's just not enough good music out at the moment to cause a ton of chart movement.
Take my current #1 for example, 'First Time', don't get me wrong, I still love the song & I'm happy it debuted for you this week, but at the start of the year, it would barely be in the Top 5 right now!
Outside of that, I like seeing 'Boo'd Up' gain in the bubbling under chart, as well as the debut for 'Ashes'.
It looks like 'Babe' didn't last very long, but it's also falling down my chart fast at the moment!
Hopefully you check out my new chart & I'll see you soon.

Same. There just isn't much to put on here. I mean "Bitch I'm Bella Thorne" looks to be debuting next week. Shows how little competition there is. Nothing to say about the #3 debut I see (though you may have not heard it). I'll check your chart out now.

"1950", "Delicate", "Molly", "Say Amen (Saturday Night)", "Break A Little", and "Marry Me".

I like "1950", "Delicate", "Molly", "Say Amen (Saturday Night)", "Break A Little", and "Marry Me".
