Hey Sergej! :)
I'm glad to hear you like 'Beautiful People' becoming the new #1 & that it's your favourite track from 'No.6 Collaborations Project'! For me, it's Ed first #1 since 'Perfect' spent five weeks at #1 in late 2017 & I believe it's Khalid's first #1 ever on my personal charts.
'Be Someone' has a bit further to climb, but I don't think 'The Archer' will unless it ends up being one of the best tracks from 'Lover'. Still, I think both are going to end up being very successful here!
I haven't heard the Alvaro Soler remix of 'La Meme' yet, but since I loved the original so much, I'll definitely be checking it out.
The three "weird" debuts are all because of vacation. Also, they're actually not even debuts, they're technically re-entries since they would've charted for me before I had Crown Note. All of them had previously been Top 5 hits in my archives & they've also stayed on my summer/vacation playlist since then, so I revisited them whilst I was in France. Glad to hear that you like all of them though!
Thanks for the comment.
Hey Piran! I absolutely love this new chart of yours! First, it's incredible to see 'Beautiful People' climbing to #1, ending 'Señorita's domination! Personally I think I prefer 'Señorita' overall, but both are still absolutely fantastic tracks. Then there's 'Waves' debuting in the Top 10, which is really great to see. It's been a Top 10 hit for me before as well, and I think it'd be a solid 9/10 for me, so it's great to see it coming back to the chart after so long, and making its debut on CrownNote! I also really like the debut for 'Takeaway' and climb for 'Castles' as well, and love the debut for 'Ladbroke Grove'! I remember you not being the biggest fan when you reviewed it over on OCC, so I'm assuming it's grown on you since then? Even with all that I love about this chart, I must say that I'm not the biggest fan of the big climb to #3 for 'The Archer', though I'm not exactly surprised. It was an incredibly weak track for me. Looking at the predictions, I'm definitely happy that 'Beautiful People' looks set to keep #1, with 'Señorita' close behind. Great chart again! :D
Hey Gameskiller! How you doing? :)
That's awesome! Glad you like this chart so much.
'Beautiful People' might've gone to #1 for now, but that doesn't mean that 'Senorita' is done completely, especially with how close those to songs are apart!
That's probably a similar rating to what I'd give 'Waves' to, although it originally peaked at #2 back in 2014 for me.
'Takeaway', 'Castles' & 'Ladbroke Grove' should all be climbing next week. The latter definitely grew on me, going from a solid 5/10 to at least a strong 6/10. I've got used to the female vocal edit over the hook that I don't mind it at all now, while AJ Tracey's flow sounds more impressive every time I hear it!
Thanks for the comment.
I'll check out your new chart!
Since 'Ladbroke Grove' has been growing on you, I'd definitely recommend watching AJ & Jorja Smith perform it in the Live Lounge whenever you get the chance. Despite how edited Jorja's sample in 'Ladbroke Grove' is from the original track ('Wandering Romance'), she still does fantastic, and adds some great ad libs, and AJ absolutely kills it as well, basically sounding the exact same as he does in the studio version of the track!
Hey Piran! Not a lot to say but that doesn't stop me from liking this chart. I love seeing 'Beautiful People' climb to the top, with 'Senorita' still going strong at 2. Its also cool to see 'The Archer' take that massive climb, but what caught my attention was the amount of fallers. Its funny because only 6 songs climbed, 11 were new entries or re entries, while the other 23 fell! I like seeing 'This Girl' and 'Waves' back in the top 10, must have been your vacation soundtrack from what I've read in the comments. I love seeing 'Ladbroke Grove' debut inside the chart, I'm guessing it grew on you? That's brilliant! No worries about the chart delay, hope you have a good time at the festival! Great chart. ;)
Hey Coolocelot! :)
The #1 is going to be very close next week & for the first time in a while, it's looking set to be a three-way battle, between: 'Beautiful People', 'Senorita' & 'La Meme'.
'The Archer' will stick around in the Top 10 for a little while since Taylor's new album will be out before the end of the month!
You're exactly right about the Top 10 re-entries for 'Waves' & 'This Girl', although this does mean that I expect both songs to take big drops next week, but might survive a week or two before they drop out entirely.
'Ladbroke Grove' definitely grew on me indeed, since I would only have given a 5/10 on first listen!
Thanks, see you soon.
Interesting to see "This Girl" debut, I like that one quite a bit, though you're pretty late on it. Shame to see "You Need to Calm Down" take that fall, as well as "Koiwoshiyo JAPAN" and "Gomen.. Hanashitakunai" drop out. Though I like seeing "The Archer" jump to #3.
Hey Naos! :)
Regarding 'This Girl', it's actually a re-entry! It only "debuted" today since my Crown Note chart has been going since November 2016, so a few months after this song was at its peak, but it would've reached #2 if I backdated my personal chart that far.
The whole reason behind its re-entry is due to my vacation in France, where the song was a massive hit, which means it'll fall a lot next week, but should last another week or two before disappearing entirely!
I sadly don't see either of those MAG!C☆PRINCE songs making a return, although 'You Need To Calm Down' should make a big rebound when 'Lover' gets released, while 'The Archer' should remain fairly stable until then.
Thanks for the comment!
This, this is the chart I love. 'Beautiful People' at the top spot is great to see, I absolutely love the song and it's definitely my favourite from the album. Senorita following closely behind is of course expected, I wonder if it has the potential to climb back. I also absolutely love La Meme at four, it peaked at #4 on my chart too. Lo Mismo (as stated elsewhere in the comments) is the Latinx remix to the song, and it's decent but I do prefer the original. Seeing Waves on the list is no shock either, it's played a lot on my favourite French language station Skyrock. Seeing Avicii hang around in the Top 10 too is great, and the climb for Be Someone is great. Pookie!! It's great to see Aya Nakamura appear once again in your charts, Pookie is a great song. Have you checked out the Lil Pump remix of it that dropped on Friday? I wasn't too happy with it, but it would be great to see Aya Nakamura gain more international fame. Loco Contigo, of course, the #1 song in France. I love seeing that on here too at #16. Ladbroke Grove is here too, with Con Altura slightly below, love both! It's great to see in your predictions that La Meme is climbing and the same with Camelphat. This chart is great but the next chart may be even better.
Hey Ben! :)
Yeah, I had a feeling that you would be a fan of this chart in particular, given how similar it was to your latest one.
The funny thing about 'La Meme' is that I've been aware of its existence since last summer, but I was only bothered to check it out last week since I was on vacation in France. I did love it though; the meaningful & relatable message, the gentle acoustics, the chemistry between Maitre Gims & Vianney, but the biggest reason being the fact that French is such a beautiful language!
Regarding 'Waves', I never actually heard it on French radio at all while I was out there, but it's been on my vacation playlist ever since it dominating charts across the world in the summer of 2014! As for the songs I did hear in France while I was out there, 'Djadja' & 'Catchu' were the two that stood out, but most of them were English language hits to be totally honest.
Speaking of Aya Nakamura, she's definitely an underrated artist, outside of her home country at least. While I do think the original of 'Pookie' is better, the Lil Pump remix isn't bad at all either. In fact, it could be enough to push the song into the Top 10 for me next week overall!
I was definitely thrilled to see 'Loco Contigo' reach #1 on the latest SNEP update! Very well timed considering today is DJ Snake's birthday.
France is another country where 'Old Town Road' was dominating for way too long, haha!
'Ladbroke Grove' should make another gain next time, since I just watched his cover of it in Radio 1's Live Lounge alongside Jorja Smith, although 'Con Altura' may drop out unfortunately.
Finally, about 'Senorita', this might be the end of its impressive dominance sadly. 'Outnumbered' is making a very quick ascent, while Taylor Swift will be due for a massive album bomb with 'Lover' in less than three weeks from now!
Thanks for your comment as usual.
Hey Piran!
Great to see "Beautiful People" at #1 (my favourite song from Ed's new album) and "Be Someone" in the top 10, as well as "The Archer" in the top 3!
Now the debuts, I like the debuts for "Loco Contigo", "Takeaway" and "Ladbroke Grove".
"La Meme" is also good, even though I prefer the version with Maitre Gims & Alvaro Soler more.
Also it's weird to see "Waves", "This Girl", "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" debuting in your chart right now. Don't get me wrong, I love all three songs, they are great fun songs! But it's weird to see them here. Still great songs that I like and they all hold up today!
Great chart!
