I am queenmary and I have something to say:
I am back to Crownnote dot cum, you junky whoreeees!
Yes, the rumors are indeed true. After I've been plaguing this website with my futile charts, I've decided that doing these charts became a way for me to relax after stressful days, so, since my days got worse, not better, I've decided to come back! I don't even know if anyone's reading this, but for the sake of my own mental health, I will pretend there's at least half of person who does. Ok, now to the chart, which is made up of entirely new entries.
The first entry on the new revamped chart is none other than Ariana Grande, with her future #1 smash hit single, "7 rings". Following its Friday release, it felt just normal to make it debut at the top since, well, that's the only thing I've been listening to. Great song, amazing song, beautiful song. Rumor has it, Susan Boyle was meant to sing this at first, but turned it down because it was just too emotional. Right beneath we have 5 Seconds of Summer with the third (edit: fourth) single off their amazing second album ("Sounds Flop Feels Flop" is never counted, sorry!), "Lie To Me". Despite the Julia Michaels version kind of slapping hard, the solo version is the one that kind of makes me cry the most. A surprising #3, especially for yours truly, is "Dancing With A Stranger", by Sam Smith and Normani. These two are extremely talented artists, but I've been kind of avoiding Sam Smith's music since it is not my coup of tea. When it comes to Normani, I've never felt any desire to listen to anything she relaesed so far, besides "Love Lies" - which never charted on The Elusive Charts previously, for some stupid reason (???). Fourth place is an anthem, "Lucky Strike" by Troye Sivan, a now video-accompanied song. Speaking of the video, did you guys cry too when you saw it? No? Cool. At number #5 lies none other than the incredible Rosalia, with "Bagdad", a song that samples "Cry Me A River" in the most genius way possible. Even though I don't really know what she really says (I still have to read some explainations about "El Mal Querer", its meaning and stuff like that, I will belt, even in public, the chorus of "Malamente".
The rest of the chart is just as amazing, I guess! Number 6 is another Ariana song, "imagine". My, perhaps, favorite song off "thank u, next" so far. Up next are Little Mix with the actual deserving fourth / fifth / third / second (no idea what song is a single and what song isn't idk) single off "LM5", "Love A Girl Right"; Lady Gaga, an Oscar-GRAMMY-Golden Globe-nominated slash winner artist, and her amazing power ballad, "I'll Never Love Again", the extended version because the film version is doing far too much emotional damage; Lizzo and her "Juice" at #9, hopefully eyeing a rise to the top 5 next week. Closing the top 10 is James Blake and his Rosalia feature, "Barefoot In The Park", off his foruth album, "Assume Form". In other news, by looking at the entire top 20, it is obvious that Rosalia has 4 entries this week (besides the aforementioned, "Pienso En Tu Mirá" at #11 and "Malamente" at #15), the most any artist has ever had on my charts? Obviously, this record would've been held by Ariana, had I been doing this during the "Sweetener" release, but I didn't so that's on that. Haha. Sigrid also dropped a greatly amazingly beautifully made song (running out of adjective, if it's not obvious), "Don't Feel Like Crying", that misses the top 10, but is aiming for a top 5 next week! Nothing else has to be said, the rest of the songs are filler since I've been obessed with "7 rings" and the "Mamma Mia" movies mostly. Enjoy!
