- This week, it is the official premiere of a brand new chart format, which from now on will include 40 tracks instead of 30. Here is the first chart prediction, done mid-week.
- Holding on strong at #1, it is Carly Rae's "Now That I Found You", with an impressive lead. This marks the first time Carly Rae has reached #1 for more than one week. The other song released with "Found", "No Drug Like Me", was foreseeing a top 5 drop, even a possible top 10 drop, but it eventually regained and drops only one spot, at #3. This is also the first time an artist gets to occupy 2 spots of the top 3 for more than a week. Last time somebody was close to achieve this was when Ariana Grande's "needy" & "break up" reached #2 and #4 on the charts in the same week.
- Jessie Ware almost takes the top spot (although it stood no chance) with "Adore You" rising 7 spots to #2. Although the chances of it rising to the top spot next week are unlikely, the song will remain stable next week. It becomes Ware's second top 3 entry, after "Selfish Love" went #1 in 2017. One fun fact: this is not the first time a British artist has been blocked from going #1, as it happened before when "Think About Us" (Little Mix) was kept at #2 by "7 rings" (Ariana Grande).
- Speaking of Grande, she continues to dominate the top 10 with four songs: "NASA", (peaking at a new high, #4), "break up..." (#5), "needy" (#9) and "bloodline" (#10). It must be noted that, ever since it entered the charts, "break up" has never left the top 10, being the only song in the top 10 to do so. Even more interesting, despite that achievement, the song has yet to reach the top 3. Other Ariana songs charting this week are: "7 rings" (rising 4 spots to #18), "ghostin" (#26), "bad idea" (#31), "fake smile" (#32), "in my head" (#34).
- Lady Gaga is the first runner up in Domination Of The Chart pageant competition, with two of her songs going top 10 (note: older songs have a harder time entering the new chart without any significant boost, and even then, it might not do much for the song). "Shallow" reaches #7 after it reaches the top spot on the Hot 100, while "Always Remember Us This Way" drops one spot out of the top 5.
- Overall, this week, only 8 artists managed to go top 10, only five of them having an individual track chart inside. One of them is Years & Years and Jax Jones' "Play", which goes #8 and becomes Jones' first top 10 and Y&Y second, following the MNEK collaboration, "Valentino" (charting at #27 this week).
- In other news, Katy Perry and Zedd hold on strongly at #11, hoping for another climb. Chainsmokers and 5SOS manage, somehow, to return at a new peak (#12) with their collaboration, "Who Do You Love", marking 5 Seconds of Summers' second entry on the chart, following "Lie to Me" reaching #2 on the first edition of the revived chart. Dua Lipa's "Want To", MARINA's "Superstar", Clean Bandit & Ellie Goulding's "Mama" drop out of the top 10, while Lauv and Troye Sivan return with "i'm so tired..." on the chart after it eventfully peaked at #8 for one week, thus becoming Sivan's lowest peaking single.
- Billie Eilish, who will soon drop her debut album, keeps on falling with "bury a friend", while Ashley Tisdale recovers and takes her first entry on the chart, "Love Me & Let Me Go", to #21, aiming a top 20 re-peak. Slayyyter's "Mine", although down 2 spots this week, might go top 10 by the next one and even reach a higher peak than the songs above and below it. Mariah Carey's "A No No" re-enters the chart and it could even reach a new high next week due to the music video. Bea Miller makes a last minute entry on the chart with "it's not u it's me", at #39, her first ever since "S.L.U.T.".
