Chart

RWC - September 16, 2020 - CLC (1)

Welcome to Ryan's Weekly Countdown!

This Week:

  • CLC tops the chart with HELICOPTER, the group's third song to do so and their fastest song to reach this milestone; CLC also ties with Dua Lipa and Bazzi for the artists with the fifth-most #1s in history, at 3 each
  • ...Sad About You by Fly By Midnight ties with Love Me Like A Friend for the group's highest peak on the chart, at #4
  • Pop-rap collaboration Kings & Queens enters the top five at #5, becoming Ava Max, Lauv, and Saweetie's first song to do so
  • Try Again rises 11-9 and becomes Teyana Taylor's first top ten ever
  • WAP by Cardi B ft. Megan Thee Stallion jumps to #12 and becomes the highest-peaking all-female rap collaboration on the chart, passing Savage by Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyoncé (#13)
  • Rina Sawayama joins Ariana Grande, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, and LÉON as the only artists in history to have three or more songs from a single album for 20 or more weeks; Sawayama achieves this with XS (#13), Fuck This World (#32), and Bad Friend (#33); Ariana Grande remains the artist with the most 20+ week songs from an album, at 8
  • Open Mind by WONHO shoots into the top twenty at #17, marking the first time since ZGZG by SAAY that a solo K-Pop act has charted within the top 20; Open Mind is now the highest-peaking solo K-Pop performance on the chart; Yeeun, Jamie, Jeon Ji Woo, Cheetah, and HYOYEON of WITCH (#12) remain the highest-peaking K-Pop soloists
  • Maluma scores his 8th top twenty with Hawái, which rises to #19
  • Following her top-fifteen hit Daisies from earlier this year, Katy Perry returns with Cry About It Later, which debuts at #26
  • 100 Ways by Jackson Wang enters at #34, marking the singer's RWC debut
  • After a month-long absence and a high airplay week, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber charity collab Stuck with U re-enters at #35
  • OK Not To Be OK debuts at #36, on the heels of Marshmello's Halsey collab Be Kind; this also marks Demi Lovato's return to the countdown since Solo in 2018, and it is also the first entry for Lovato as a lead artist
  • At #39 this week, Savage by Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyoncé becomes the longest-running rap song in the history of the countdown (20 weeks), passing I Like It by Cardi B, Bad Bunny, & J Balvin; Savage is also the second song in history to spend 20 weeks on the chart without reaching the top ten
