Sergej's Personal Chart 20.09.2024

I apologize in advance that the charts in the next few months will be hectic and crazy, but I have more focus in other things, mainly getting a new job.
So, if you see a song you like so much and it falls on my chart, please be gentle and don't get into ALL CAPS, it's because I am concentrating on finding a new job and music is for me now more like a hobby.

Sergej's Personal Highlights:
- The Weeknd debuts at #1 with his newest hit "Dancing In The Flames", making it his tenth #1 hit in his career.
- Coldplay have yet another top 3 hit in their career with "We Pray" alongside Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna & TINI going to #2.
- Sadly for Tananai & Annalisa, they couldn't set a new record as the song with the most weeks, but they did have a fantastic run at the top with eleven weeks at #1, this week it falls to #3.
- Alessia Cara jumps up to #7 with "Dead Man", meanwhile Jelly Roll gets his first top 10 hit with "Liar" at #8.

- Other debuts this week (outside of The Weeknd) include: Tate McRae, Teddy Swims, Charli XCX & Troye Sivan, Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, Alle Farben, JEREMIAS and MoBlack.

First Look Chart on Sunday.

Ahoy Sergej!

In fairness, it was about time to revamp the arena for the autumn season! Big claps and tip of the hat to 'STORIE BREVI', which is still likely to have a long long run before it drops out of the chart, and based on its record, can we really say there's 0% chance it can bounce back up again?

'Dancing In The Flames' is a fine successor though and a solid new Weeknd effort to be moving forward with.

It's nice to see the achievement of 'Talk Talk', and 'Call My Name' debuting, and 'We Pray', 'Dead Man', 'Somedays', 'Hot To Go!', 'Edge of Saturday Night', 'Bright Lights', 'Pretty Slowly', '99%', 'The Emptiness Machine', 'Dream Come True', and 'Thick Of It All', all getting new peaks.

Have a fabulous weekend, sir!

Ahoy Maxon!

Indeed, a fresh season calls for a fresh arena, and 'STORIE BREVI' has been quite the powerhouse, no doubt. It's one of those tracks that never really says goodbye—but all good things must come to an end and the run has been incredible for this song. Currently it is unlikely, it could get back to the top, with The Weeknd, Coldplay and next week, Purple Disco Machine coming in it's way.

'Dancing In The Flames' is a hot successor—The Weeknd never disappoints. It's great to see 'Talk Talk' and 'Call My Name' making waves too. And what a list of new peaks! 'We Pray,' 'Hot To Go!' and 'Edge of Saturday Night' really bring the energy up. 'Pretty Slowly' has been a slow burn, but it seems like it's finally getting the recognition it deserves. All these tracks carving their space is definitely a sign of good things ahead.

Thanks for the vibes, my friend! Wishing you an epic weekend too. Onward and upward!

Cheers!

Hey Sergej! :)

Glad to see 'Dancing In The Flames' straight in at the top spot, 'We Pray' jumping into the runner-up position & 'Hot To Go!' continuing its ascent up the chart.

Good chart!

Hey Piran!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm really excited to see 'Dancing In The Flames' at the top spot too! 'We Pray' and 'Hot To Go!' are definitely bringing the heat as well.

It's been a fantastic week for the charts!

Glad you're enjoying the tracks. Let's keep the energy going!

Hey Sergej! :)

The Weeknd ended "Storie Brevi's" hopes of breaking the record, debuting atop with his 10th #1, "Dancing In The Flames." I’m excited to see Coldplay back in the highest ranks again; "We Pray" took a while to climb in SPC. It’s also great to finally see Jelly Roll in SPC’s top ten with "Liar," a song that definitely deserves to return to the Rockmaker Top 40.

I was surprised to see Tate McRae debuting mid-chart, but I’m really happy to see Teddy Swims' new entry in SPC. Other standout debuts for me are "Talk Talk" and "Call My Name." Among the re-entries, I’m glad to see "Nice To Meet You," "Fly," and "Anything" back.

I love the new peaks of "Somedays," "Hot To Go!," "Edge of Saturday Night," "Cry Baby," "Why Why Why" (the biggest climber!), "Pretty Slowly," "The Emptiness Machine," and "Finally."

Great chart and playlist! But I’m a bit confused: have you already returned from your vacation in Italy, or are you just about to go? Either way, I wish you a happy week, stay positive, and keep chasing your dreams.

Hey there Rockmaker!

It was only a matter of time to see The Weeknd debut at #1 with "Dancing In The Flames"—such a strong track. And you're right, Coldplay’s "We Pray" took its time, but it's awesome to see them back in the highest ranks again. Jelly Roll’s "Liar" making it to the top 10 was a pleasant surprise as well; I’ve liked the song for a while, but it kept growing on me! Teddy Swims' new entry is also a highlight for me—he just brings something unique every time.

On worries about Tate McRae, she will get up the charts soon enough. And as for "Talk Talk" and "Call My Name," those were definitely standout moments for me too. It’s always fun to see re-entries like "Nice To Meet You" and "Fly" climb back—it’s like welcoming old friends!

The new peaks for "Somedays," "Hot To Go!," and "Edge of Saturday Night" are fantastic, and "Why Why Why" being the biggest climber is wild! Loving the energy in the chart this week.

As for the vacation, yes I've been returning from Italy already two weeks ago. Thank you for the positive vibes and support—you too! Keep chasing your passions, and let’s keep enjoying these awesome tunes together.

Wishing you an amazing week!

Take care.
