Tahiem’s Top 15 (Songs Of The Summer)

Week ending: 08/21/2018, Nearing the end of the summer, there’s a tight race for the throne as the most popular song through out it, with 1 week left we have Christina Aguilera & Goldlink at #1 with “Like I Do”. “Like” gives both artist their first leader. Aguilera last charted with “Telepathy” last year as Goldlink has with “Crew” earlier this year. Reaching a new peak position of #2 is artist Kaiit with “OG Luv Kush pt. 2”, the R&B and Hip Hop Soul tinged track moves up 1 spot. Going down 2 places to the third position is Snarky Puppy & Lalah Hathaway with “Something” after spending 2 weeks at the top spot. Rising 1 position is Noname and Eryn Allen Kane with “Reality Check”, breaking into the top 5 this becomes both artist first song to do so. Rebounding 2 spots back into the top 5 is SiR with the trancing track D’Evils after previously topping the chart for 2 nonconsecutive weeks. Up one position is Ella Mai with her second consecutive top 10 “Naked” after the Chary topping and Song Of The Summer (so far) “Boo’d Up”. Darting 6 spaces to #7 and earning the Greatest Gainer award is H.E.R with the Lauryn Hill inspired track “Lost Souls” as this track continues to fire up in points, it’s one to watch out for as a potential future leader. Going down 2 spaces is Ari Lennox & Cozz with “Backseat” after peaking at #6. Going up 1 space from the end of the top 10 is Kali Uchis, Tyler The Creator & Bootsy Collins with “After The Storm” after previously topping the chart for 2 weeks. Uchis also topped the chart last summer with “Tyrant” featuring Jorah Smith. Going up 1 position after re entering last week is Nicole with “Eyes Better Not Wander” becoming the oldest song to chart (20 years) since Dorothy Moore has last year with “Misty Blue” (42 years). Falling 7 spaces from #4 is PJ Morton with his cover of the Bee Gee’s “How Deep Is Your Love”. Coming in at #12 is new artist Pricilla Renae with her first charting single “Heavenly”. Going down 4 spaces is the sister duo Chloe & Halle with the melancholy heartbreak anthem “Happy Without Me” after going to peak at #4. Stationed at #14 is former leader “Boo’d Up” by Ella Mai. And closing out the chart is Joyce Wrice with the nostalgic track “Good Morning”
