UK Independent Top 20- See Notes Below Chart

WHY AM I DOING THIS?

Just to pass the time really. I've always liked charts and as well as my personal chart [http://crownnote.com/users/blobfishy] I wanted to start a more historical chart just for fun. I decided to log the UK Independent Singles charts onto this website [https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/independent-singles-chart/]. Albeit with some rule changes to lead to more movement. I will start by filling in the lists for 2020 and then move backwards.

CHART RULES

1. As a base the chart uses the UK Official Charts Company's independent singles chart (see link above)
2. The top 5 from the OCCs chart is unchanged unless a song has dropped out as a result of the below rules in which case the #6 will jump up. The only time a song will re-enter into the Top 5 is if it's done so on OCC, is a christmas song, or is rebounding after an album bomb of 5 songs in the Top 20.
3. There is a maximum of 5 songs per artist. An artist must keep their inital 5 for 3 weeks. If the any song not from the original 5 is still in the Top 20 then it will be allowed to debut.
4. No christmas songs unless they are in the Top 5
5. If a song is in positions 6-10 and has spent more than 16 weeks in the chart it will be given a 5-position drop for all future weeks.
6. If a song is outside the top 5 and has spent more than 24 weeks in the chart it will be removed.
7. The charts can be changed at any time should I see an error.
8. If there aren't 20 songs eligible in the OCC's 50 I will use it's partner "bubbling under chart" to fill in. If there's still a gap I will use the latest dropouts to plug the gap (the latter is rare).
