UK Trending Top 40 - 04 August 2017

Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber have returned to number one with Despacito to make it eleven weeks at the top of the UK Trending Top 40.

Last week's number one was Linkin Park's 2001 hit In The End, following the tragic news of lead singer Chester Bennington's death. The song spends a second week in the top ten this week. The band also still have four songs in this week's chart with Numb at number 17, the version with Jay-Z, titled Numb/Encore, at number 34, and What I've Done at number 36.

DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller's Wild Thoughts and French Montana and Swae Lee's Unforgettable both climb a place to numbers two and three. Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean rise two places to number four with Feels, while Enrique Iglesias, Sean Paul and Matt Terry climb four places with Súbeme La Radio. Major Lazer, Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo also reach a new peak position at number six with Know No Better.

Behind David Guetta and Justin Bieber's 2U is this week's highest climber as Mi Gente by J Balvin and Willy William rise 19 places to number eight, and Little Mix and Stormzy climb two places to number nine while Linkin Park's In The End rounds off the top ten. Dua Lipa has this week's only new entry at number 21 with New Rules, and there are five re-entries this week as Yungen and Yxng Bane hit number 25 with Bestie, Axwell /\ Ingrosso's More Than You Know reaches number 28, The Script's Rain is back at number 35, Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan's There For You is at number 39 and Selena Gomez is at number 40 with Bad Liar.
