It was about time we finally got another big disruption to really shake things up. And of course that disruption comes from Ava Max's brand new song "Maybe You're The Problem" - one of her best songs to date, shooting straight up to the very top within just a couple days since its release. This marks her 3rd #1 debut after "Blood, Sweat & Tears" and "OMG What's Happening" back in 2020, and her 12th #1 hit overall, which is just insane and easily the most out of any artist in both categories. If this didn't happen, then "Used To Know Me" by Charli XCX would've taken the #1 spot instead, but it only rises up to #2 and it's gonna have a rough time trying to get higher at this point, though it does push her 4-week #1 "Baby" down to #3. Then we see last week's #1 "Sweetest Pie" by Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa tumble to #4, and finally we have Mimi Webb's "House On Fire" down a spot to #5.
"Maybe You're The Problem" isn't the only debut we have this week though, as we also have 3 others - 2 of which come from Camila Cabello's newest album: "psychofreak" with WILLOW at #18, and "Hasta Los Dientes" with Maria Becerra at #23. We also have Jack Harlow making his 3rd charting entry after "WHATS POPPIN" and the former #1 "INDUSTRY BABY", with "First Class" debuting at the very bottom. And we have some pretty big dropouts this week as well, including the loss of 2 former #1's: "Moth To A Flame" by Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd making its graceful exit after spending 1 week at the top late last year, and the really big one, "deja vu" by Olivia Rodrigo has finally exited the chart after spending 8 weeks at #1 throughout last spring/early summer and 56 weeks on the chart as a whole. It was last year's #1 song, and is comfortably sitting at #2 on my overall leaderboard.
