Waffle's Current Favourites - Week of July 9, 2022

Well guys, she finally did it. Tate McRae officially earns her very first #1 on my chart with "what would you do?". It took her quite an interesting journey to get here, but at last, she made it. It was a super close race though, as "Overthinking" by Mabel and 24kGoldn re-peaks at #2, and has a shot of hitting #1 in the next couple weeks with her upcoming album release. Now all this means that the past 10 weeks' #1 "Maybe You're The Problem" by Ava Max slips to #3 this week, finally being overtaken after spending the past couple months at the very top. An incredibly impressive chart run for sure, and who knows, maybe it's not even done yet. Then we have "chaotic" by Tate McRae remaining at #4, and finally "go away" also by Tate McRae rises back into the Top 5 at #5.

We have 2 debuts this week, with the first being from MUNA with "What I Want" at #16, making this their 2nd appearance on the chart after last year's #1 "Silk Chiffon". We also have another new song from Mabel, this time alongside Lil Tecca, with "Let Love Go" at #18.
