So unlike last week which didn't have a ton going on, this week was one of the craziest weeks of all time, as for the first time, we've got a bit of a double album bomb going on here, from both Carly Rae Jepsen and from Taylor Swift. Carly arguably had the larger impact, as she becomes the latest artist to hold all of Top 3 spots (Taylor became the first in 2019 though): "The Loneliest Time" is up to #1 for its 1st week, "Surrender My Heart" gets a big debut at #2, and "Talking To Yourself" is at #3. What this means is that last week's #1, "I Love You, Bitch" by FLETCHER stood no chance and tumbled to #4 off the top spot, and finally we have "cages" by Maggie Lindemann down at #5.
And of course, we have a ton more new arrivals this week - the grand total being 8, and they're all from Taylor and Carly. From Taylor Swift, we have "Anti-Hero" at #7, "Snow On The Beach" with Lana Del Rey at #14 (yeah I didn't think she'd ever get another charting entry after "Don't Call Me Angel" either but here we are), and "Karma" at #24. And from Carly Rae Jepsen, obviously there's the big #2 debut for "Surrender My Heart" but we also have "Anxious" at #9, "Bad Thing Twice" at #16, "Beach House" finally coming in at #19 (this had been in Bubbling Under for over 2 months, haha), and "Shooting Star" at #22. You got all that? There's also a lot more from both of them in the Bubbling Under section. This also obviously means there's a ton of dropouts, including former #1 "what would you do?" by Tate McRae, finishing an incredibly solid run.
